Publisher's Summary

I've been many things.

I've been a son and a stepbrother. An army captain and a vice president.

But only with him am I a prince. His little prince.

Only with Maxen and Greer does my world make sense, only between them can I find peace from the demons that haunt me. But men like me aren't made to be happy. We don't deserve it. And I should have known a love as sharp as ours could cut both ways.

My name is Embry Moore, and I serve at the pleasure of the president of the United States...for now.

This is the story of an American prince.

Contains mature themes.

Loved the book, but not a fan of the male narrator

This was an awesome follow up to American Queen, but I had a hard time with the male narrator. I love Stephanie Rose's performance in both books and was really excited to finally hear Embry. Sadly, Guy Locke's voice just didn't match up with the character. It wasn't terrible, but I definitely preferred Stephanie's chapters more.

Lots of secrets are revealed this time around and getting Embry's point of view was incredible. We know certain events occur in the timeline, but having this other side to the story was both painful and enlightening. Since this is book 2 in the series, it does end in a cliffhanger (though it's not as bad as the one in book 1). I can't wait for the release of American King and I hope they will find a new male narrator for the audiobook!

Awesome series. Male Narrator Not So Much

Would you listen to American Prince again? Why?

Listen again, No because of the Male Narrator

Who was your favorite character and why?

Greer.. strong female

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Anothe Male Narrator sounding like Bullwinkle.. Really... who comes up with these Narrators? He was supposed to be strong, handsome, sexy, but the Male narrator ruined it. The female narrator was amazing.. She's perfect.

Any additional comments?

When is book 3 coming out?? And PLEASE do not us the same male narrator..

This is such a compelling story

You’ve read/ listened to American Queen already? Yes? Good! So, you know how AQ ended, that cliffhanger was a jaw-dropping one, right? I was so pleased I had American Prince already queued up and ready to go. Of course, life meant I had to wait a day or two, which was tough because I had so many thoughts about AQ running around my head. Once I was able to dive in I was just a crazy person, I shouted at my audible app more than once.
There were several moments between Ash and Embry that melted my heart, I’m talking, I wanted to cry because they were so incredibly sweet. For all Ash’s bravado and soldier/ President-ness, he really was a sweet man who knew the right thing to say to make a girl… and man swoon. This book contained some difficult moments for Greer and I have to say I thought they were handled beautifully and I understood her mindset.
Abilene continues to show herself as a horrible person, even more so in this book. She’s a character you’ll love to hate. I didn’t particularly like Morgan, but she did grow on me. Merlin still makes me so mad, I just want to punch him and tell him to mind his own business. I enjoyed how this book is told from the POV of both Greer and Embry, you get more of an understanding of what Embry’s thought processes are and why he does the things he does. Which was frustrating in book 1 but now make sense. With the added benefit of seeing his relationship with Ash.
I really liked the timeline shifts, from then and now. It gives a good understanding of the characters, what they’ve been through and why they do the things they do. The BDSM scenes are done incredibly well, giving you the thought process along with the action, it will make some other books look like amateurs and give you a good sense of what a relationship that involves it would be like. The sex scenes continue to be smoking hot, the scenes between Ash and Embry, oh my word! It will have you hot under the collar for sure, but also, swooning, in its beauty.
The ending will have you sat in awe, wondering what you can possibly do now. Although American King is available, it is not yet out on audio. I’ve actually caved in, the wait was too much, ok, so I only managed to go 12 hours, but I pulled up the kindle app and I am now reading… with my eyes *gasp* because I wasn’t ready to leave these characters behind, they will have this effect on you that just make it so hard not to sit and think about them. Wondering where the story can go, why Sierra is putting them through this and how much more they can take.
The narration was wonderful. Stephanie Rose continues to perform these characters and situations brilliantly, I really love how she chooses to voice them. Guy Locke is new to me and I really enjoyed his performance, especially of Embry. The production had no issues.

Side-note: If you don’t believe a heart is big enough to love more than one person and don’t believe the message of love is love, this is not the book for you. Some scenes may be difficult to read, if you have any set triggers please give me a shout and I’ll help you with details. Know that each scene has a purpose.

I love IT!!

I waited a lot to read/hear this book
1) because i knew it was going to be very emotional and
2) because i normally wait until the series is complete or almost complete to read them.

but i finally did it!!!

I love Sierra, I've been her fan for such a long time.. i've read every single book of her...Her writing has been always amazing!! her stories are always very deep and have so much more to give than you can expect..

AP was not the exception it was very emotional but also very raw.. i can say so many things that i love about this book .. AQ was beautiful but this one got very deep .. you can fell at all times the Love between Embry and Ash and sometimes is very hard to feel that in some of the M/M books .. AP show their love very deep and how the spark between them started.. you can also see how much the three of them really love each other .. even if the sex is really amazing like of the charts amazing!! very dirty and raw .. you can feel at all times the respect and the love they have for each other.. they don't move or do anything without thinking about the the other two ... and thats exactly what i love about this book ..

That no matter all the people trying to separate them, no matter how many times they have to fight to be together .. they still love each other so much .. there is never doubt about it, no matter if Embry take decisions that seems selfish or wrong .. he is always moved with love .. for the love of his King and Queen.. also i love how the characters are very mature .. is amazing how Ash knows Embry so much.. how Embry can't hide anything from him .. he always tries but at the end Ash knows what is going through his mind and heart...

In this book you can see more about Embry and Ash .. more about their love, friendship, families and all the things they went through when they were at war ... there is also a very important part where you can see how Embry met Greer .. how he even knew Greer was the same girl Ash was in love with ...

i can wait for AK in just a few days.. i hope they end up together.. i think they really deserve a HEA after all we can see how beautiful is their love.. and it will also be wonderful to see that kind of love, in a position where we never get to see love - in the heart of a President ...

what an amazing story, is the only thing i can say ...

OMG I Loved It

This was book 2 in the "American Queen" series. Embry Moore has been in love with Maxen Colchester for 14 years. In book one we got to read about Greer's history and a little of the history between Ash and Embry in this book how they met in the Army and how they became lovers and how Merlin was the one who convinced him not to marry Ash. This book had a lot of secret's in it. The book begins where the first one left off with Greer being kidnapped by a mad man and how Embry went to rescue her. We also learn that her cousin Abilene is so jealous of Greer that she would help a mad man kidnap her and she would do anything to get back at her. This book was painful for me to read at times I physically had to put my kindle down to keep from throwing it. I hate Abilene and Morgan for what this is doing to these three and I believe that Embry is right I think that Ash was being weak or maybe the author is saving it for the next book I hope. The sex scenes in this book were hot and Ash was as dominant as ever. I did feel bad for the "Little Prince" he put is own happiness on hold to protect those that he loves all because of a crazy B*tch couldn't get what she wanted and to think Greer as thought all her life that she wished she was pretty like Abilene. In this book we also learn that Morgan and Ash have a little secret of their own. This was a really good book a really good series it makes me wonder what is going on behind the W.H. doors. This book was well written like the first book with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.October 31st can't come fast enough.

“The little prince in the book is so wise but so sad. Has so much to offer this world and yet he can’t stop pining for the one he loves.”
Colchester looked right into my eyes and I could not look away.”

“Embry holds my husband’s heart in his hands and he doesn’t even know it. He’s too busy looking at the details of Ash’s faces to see the expression, too busy being in love to see how loved he is.”

I have to become more than a prince. I have to become a king Myself

Dying to read more!

This is such an intense trilogy! I'm in love with Simone's retelling of the King Arthur story. She weaves dynamic and complicated relationships into a beautiful romantic (sometimes tragic) plot. I can see influences of T.H. White's version more than the Mallory legend. Either way she has put her own stamp on the ancient figures by transposing conflicts in kingdoms to modern-era war and terror. it makes so much sense to me. Embry's book is everything I love in the series. There is more struggle and the politics of presidency come crashing into the soft love between Greer, Ash and Embry. In short, Read these books!

A great book!

I loved this book so much! I liked the narrator's especially Stephanie Rose, Guy Locke's voice was pleasant but the way he dropped the sounds of some of the letters got a tad annoying at times.

OH MY! The plot thickens

Abaline is a dirty rotten human! 🤬 Poor Greer poor Ash. I’m not to happy with Embury. I think this was so heartbreaking and painful. I could feel it 😢 Morgan isn’t at all horrible just made hard choices. I just want the pain to stop for Greer. If anything Ash and Embury are doing a piss poor job at looking after and cherishing her.

Very gay tale

Normally I am very open minded but I found this part 2 excessively gay erotica not my cup of tea to much reflection into the back story and was lacking in interest for the reader as the story did not seem to move forward quick enough with the first story.
