Publisher's Summary

They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny stitch sewn into his future since birth. And here I am. My sins are no longer secret. My flaws have never been more fatal. And I've never been closer to tragedy than I am now.

I am a man who loves, a man whose love demands much in return. I am a king, a king who was foolish enough to build a kingdom on the bones of the past. I am a husband and a lover and a soldier and a father and a president. And I will survive this.

Long live the king.

Shocking Love Story

I'm not sure if my headline even really expresses how I feel about this series. I like that all 3 books is each person's version of the love they shared between Ash, Greer and Embry and each book added a bit more to the story. I did get used to Guy Locke's narration although at times it threw me off, Stephanie Rose's narration is great. A few chapters to towards the end got a little weird with Ash's storyline but I was pretty happy how it ended especially because you think it's going to end differently, the epilogue redeemed it for me. The whole "we are three" was a little weird for me but actually left me wondering if this really exists is some peoples real lives or if it could actually work for some people. I'm torn as to which of the men were my favorite only because in their own ways they both made certain sacrifices in order to love each other and to love Greer. I think I will need to relisten to this series at some point to make it all make sense to me. None if it was what I thought this story would be about from beginning to end. There were some pretty intense sex scenes that left me a little unsure as to why someone would want to be treated that way and at the same time they were pretty damn good. The part in the book that I didn't care for was Merlin's revealing secret, it just lost me so I'm glad it was towards the end and I was invested because I could have easily put it down at that point. All in all I could have given it 5 stars but Merlin's secret took one star away.

Just as good the second time!

This was audio re-read for me. I loved Ash’s story and the conclusion to the New Camelot series. Hearing Ash’s story come to life and build to that ultimate moment of pain, of sacrifice, about did me in. Despite knowing exactly how the story went, hearing the narrated version had me feeling the gamut of emotions, as if it was the first time. And that moment of anticipation as the book drew closer to the end? Perfection.

Ash ❤️❤️❤️

When I first read this trilogy I almost couldn’t finish this book. I thought Sierra was ripping my heart out!! So when I got the audiobook I figured knowing everything I wouldn’t be as affected. Well I was wrong!! Hearing Guy give a voice to Ash made me love him more and I was so sad to have the book end! All I can say is - get this trilogy!! You will not be disappointed!!

Amazing love story

Embry, Ash and Greer have a love that should last for ever. However Embry losses faith in Ash’s ability to keep Greer and the country safe. He decides to run against Ash on an opposing ticket. In doing so and his marriage to Abilene he unleashes a multitude of events that trigger an old tale, with a new ending.
This is my favorite quote from the book “My love for the two of you exists inside your love for each other, when you love each other your loving me”
I will tuck these stories away for know, but I know it won’t be forever! Thank you

I Loved This Book and This Series

When I first got this book I cried because this book is the end of this series. This was a beautifully written book that had me unable to sleep or eat I think I got maybe 6 hours sleep in 2 days. This is book 3 in the "New Camelot Trilogy" and what a book it is. This book picks up where book 2 "American Prince" left off with Embry The Vice President of U.S. telling his lover Maxen "Ash" Colchester who is The President of the United States that he is leaving him and running against him in the next election, he also tells him that he is being blackmailed by that witch and about and a son he didn't know he had. This book was painful to read too me I love these three. I also loved that we were able to read about past events in Ash's life he never felt unwanted or unloved even when he learned about his father. As a teen when he first discovered he liked boys and girls and how he was a virgin until he met Morgan and his side of the relationship with both Embry and Greer and how he fell in love with both of them at first sight. Ash also felt guilty for a lot of things in his life and one of them was Morgan. We also learned more about his relationship with his first wife Jenny and how he felt when she died. We also got to see how Ash was trained to be a Dominant and he had a scene with Embry that was hot. We also learned a lot about Merlin and why he did the things he did for Ash and to Ash and Embry. I also loved that even though they were running against each other Embry and Ash are still in love with each other and after each debate they got together and had some really hot sex. I loved how Greer handled that witch of a cousin of hers. I also loved the whole King Arthur Sir. Lancelot and Guinevere theme that was running through this book and I could see them in each of these character's. Ash felt that Embry and Greer needed time to grow to love each other without him and it was one of the reasons he did what he did. This book and series had drama tears and a lot of hot sweaty sex scenes. Ash is the King and a King will do anything to protect his Queen and his Prince. I am so glad that this book had a happy ending. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. If you love reading M/M/F with a drama twist than I recommend that you read this series starting with "American Queen" this is not a stand along series. I am looking forward to listening to this book on audio.

I want to know this isn’t in vain.

I love this series and I love Sierra Simone

I have to admit, I love MMF love stories where all three characters are in love with one another, and this is one of the best, if not the best I have ever listened to. There are great twists to the series as well. The dual narration was excellent. Love both of these narrators. Do yourself a favor and buy all three and binge listen. You won't be disappointed.

What a Journey ...

I didn’t know that this was based off a fable or bit of history, however you want to call it. But when I was reading Greer’s book I could kind of feel it although I was to focused on the politics and the web of connections to hold that detail towards the front of my mind. Just thought it more whimsy of a young girl. But Ash’s book is really where it reveals and shows. A crazy spin on the story really and oddly creative. Embry is allowed to be seen as he is in this portion of the story. I was happy for that. He is my favorite I like his fight his big heart and wild love. I do love how SS dose not skimp on details. There is plenty of flash backs to lay out the tracks to the present. Provides a good balance and the story is very well mapped out. But goodness the drama. I think that’s the only part that turned me off the story was the constant rise and fall of drama. Not a fan of it in real life so I guess not in fantasy either. But this is truly a good story and enjoyable mental adventure. Ash loves is a way that everyone should. He is proud yet humble greedy yet giving harsh yet tender cruel but oh so loving. His loves get to frolic freely under his care. Everyone should have that. SS is going to be added to my watch list she is a great talent.

Soul searching awesome !!!!

This is an awesome spin off of the king Arthur tale...all of the books in this series are raunchy and emotional . American Queen was really good and the cliffhanger keeps you wanting to read/hear more. Also I have never read or heard a book that bought tears to my eyes like American Prince and American King. The emotional decisions and sacrifices they made for each other were heartfelt and sad at the same time. The love they shared was so overwhelming that it effected me as the listener. I have listened to this series several time and it never gets old. Superbly done!!!!

a retelling like no other

listening to the audiobook of this was so well done I highly enjoyed the performance.

the story was paced so nicely and I highly liked how with ASH we got to know him more and how the way he is has been deep seated in him way before he was ever created, that his past molded his future in a way that was always out of his control.

their was a reference in the book about Ash comparing himself to the goblin king out of labyrinth, and I loved how that peek into his early teens resonating over the lines said by David bowie at the end of labyrinth saying to the character sarah - fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave....open up the book is such a way that when u hear ash explain the meaning about what it says and means to him, to me opened up the book is a new light gave u insight into a personality that the world would deem wrong and abnormal but then seeing as making sense due to the inner carnal nature that needed to be feed in order to be happy & give over all he has.

at first I was not much for the character of ASH but this book gave me a deeper insight into the character and made me see him differently and more compassionately then before.

I highly liked how when all the pieces come together at the end of the book come to show u of a love triangle that was destined before time could place it, that this book was saying in a small way behind the lines that past lifes are still connected to us in every life we live that such a thing as a destined path is possible and known.

I highly enjoyed this book ab d it is a series I would gladly read again

What was that?!?!?!?!!!!

This has got to be the most ridiculous book I’ve ever listened to (and I’ve listened to way over 1000). The series started off ok, so I thought I’d get the next book which was alright but not as good as the first. By this time I was invested in the series and wanted to know what happened so I got this book. WHATTTTT?!?!!! It’s like it’s separate from the rest of the series.

First of all it can’t decide what type of book it wants to be. Fairytale? Erotica? Paranormal? Romance? Mystery? This mixing of genres can be great if done right (if it makes a delicious cake). The mix in this case just makes a puddle of mess.

Subterfuge and centrifuge are not the same. Author not knowing words, or narrator getting confused? Not sure which. That wasn’t the only example of words being mixed up.

I think the author had a flurry of ideas then threw them all down on a page and hoped for the best. It really didn’t work. I know this is fiction and you have to let go of reality and just enjoy the ride - but this book had wayyyy too many stupid plot lines for me.

Bizarrely I just want someone else to listen to it too so I can rant and rave all my frustrations about the book with them. It’d be quite cathartic.
