Publisher's summary
“I’m gay, and I love it!”
Dennis, an acutely sensitive pre-teen with a social-emotional learning disability, explores his sexual orientation during the ’60s when gays were deemed mentally ill.
Nestled in the cozy suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, timid young Dennis bears the weight of society’s pressure to fit into his parents’ American dream. He longs to satisfy his desire to kiss the boy of his dreams, but will violent bullying and sexual experimentation in his teens with his juvenile delinquent best friend take him down the wrong path?
Will his unexpected popularity in high school allow him to kick down the closet door?
When a devastating tragedy and unimaginable heartache test his ability to cope, can Dennis summon the fortitude to overcome his fears and find closure with loved ones he abandoned decades before?
To Know Him Is chronicles life in a changing America, the intricacies of growing up gay, and proves how healing from the most painful losses can take years of self-reflection. From his mother’s careless comments, to childhood strip poker with male friends, to the simple act of counting the seconds of how long a first kiss might last—Dennis’s story is a heart-filled roller coaster that aims to charm you, break you, and give you hope.

Story
As a young child, in many ways, Shaley didn’t stand a chance. Growing up as a closeted lesbian in the 1970’s, in a dysfunctional family with an often mentally unstable mother, the only thing on her mind was survival. Turning to alcohol and drugs at an early age, she thought she’d found the perfect escape from the shame of being gay and her mother’s erratic emotional roller-coaster ride. Excuse Me Sir! Memoir of a Butch illustrates first-hand, what happens when people are forced into secrecy, underground or outlawed

Story
Many Hollywood Celebrities fake their deaths for various reasons. The most common reason is when they start making lousy movies that don’t make any money so they decide to commit fraud by collecting on their multi-million dollar life insurance policies, get a face lift & a new life of anonymity as someone else. Another common reason is to escape the law for committing crimes and or a big IRS tax lien bill. The local police, coroners, news media & the Feds have no problem helping celebrities illegally fake their deaths as long as they get paid for their part in the insurance fraud scheme. ...

Story
Mason Hanks has returned to Rainbow Cove, Oregon with one goal in mind: turn the struggling coastal community into a thriving LGBTQ tourism destination. Step one is transforming an old bar and grill into a gay-friendly eatery. Step two? Don't piss off Nash Flint, the very hot, very stern chief of police who's not so sure he's on board with Mason's big plans. Nash Flint just wants to keep his community safe and enjoy the occasional burger in peace. He's not big on change nor is he a fan of Mason's troublemaking family, especially his rowdy older brothers.

Virtual voice narration
If the story wasn’t interesting to me I would have stopped listening. Mispronounced words and no emotion in an emotional story. I’m not going to listen to virtual narration books in the future.
