Publisher's summary

The highly anticipated sequel to the New York Times best-selling thriller everyone is talking about, One of Us Is Lying! There's a new mystery to solve at Bayview High, and there's a whole new set of rules.

Come on, Bayview, you know you've missed this.

A ton of copycat gossip apps have popped up since Simon died, but in the year since the Bayview four were cleared of his shocking death, no one's been able to fill the gossip void quite like he could. The problem is no one has the facts.

Until now.

This time it's not an app, though - it's a game.

Truth or Dare.

Phoebe's the first target. If you choose not to play, it's a truth. And hers is dark.

Then comes Maeve, and she should know better - always choose the dare.

But by the time Knox is about to be tagged, things have gotten dangerous. The dares have become deadly, and if Maeve learned anything from Bronwyn last year, it's that they can't count on the police for help. Or protection.

Simon's gone, but someone's determined to keep his legacy at Bayview High alive. And this time, there's a whole new set of rules.

And don't miss Two Can Keep a Secret, Karen's third "must-read YA thriller" (Bustle)!

A knock out performance!

This story had everything. An amazing mystery with a twist at the end, sympathetic characters who each had problems to work through, and great cast of narrators who brought it all to life. I was afraid at first that the sequel could not live up to the first book, but I loved it!!! Now I'm hoping the author will turn this in to a trilogy.

That ending!

That ending was perfect! This book started off really slow for me. Like really slow! I was 10 chapters in and I was so bored and so confused with all the different characters storylines! Was having trouble keeping up and, honestly, I didn’t care for most of the characters. But towards the end it really picks up it and I couldn’t have thought of a better ending! Love a good twist!

Blown Away

I LOVE Karen McManus’ work. Her books are so well written and they pull me in and don’t let me go until they are done. One of Us is Lying is always my go to favorite book whenever anyone asks. This book carries on the story of Bayview so well. I always get a little nervous when I love the first book in a series to read the next one, but this one is just as good as the first. I am such a fan of McManus’ work.

Great writing & different character perspectives!

I love this series! My daughter does, too! I listen to the Audiobook while I am at work and read the physical books at home. This is my third time reading/listening! I enjoy the writing and different perspectives between each character. The narrator's voices are exactly how I picture each one to sound like! I cannot wait to read the next book!

enjoyed it

I really enjoyed the book. It was easily predictable. and I didn't predict one of the small things... and it felt like it was just added on in the end. I just kinda found it not thought out. Maybe because it was added in the last five mins and wasn't fully resolved. I wouldn't mind a third book picking up where this one left off.

Meh…

Really good, but a few problems. First, unlike the first book, I could tell EXACLTY who it was. Second, the ending. What. The. Heck. That was a terrible ending. Normally I like cliffhangers, but I can tell there wasn’t going to be a resolution to this one. Other than that, good book.

amazing

Loved the twists, didn't seem to use overdone tropes of typical thriller novels. Love the pacing of the story and perspectives of the different characters.

How many of us are next

I really loved the web of stories and how they were in twinned. I hadn't read part one, but the writer recapped enough about it to make this book make sense.
