Publisher's Summary

Sixteen-year-old Charlotte is convinced her life would be perfect if she could only get past the one obstacle holding her back: a girl named Bellany Silverfield, who seems to have it all - beauty, popularity, power, and the boy of Charlotte’s dreams. But when Bellany is murdered, Charlotte’s life doesn't get any better. In fact, it gets much worse. Charlotte worries that circumstantial evidence and rumors of motive will make her a prime suspect. She's forced to question the loyalty of her closest friends and to place her trust in a boy she barely knows. But one of these people is definitely lying to her.

Terrible

This book was so bad. The plot is dumb, the characters are idiots, the ending is something you can see from space. Save your money. The narrator was so boring.

Poor Narration and Worst Main Character

This novel is great if you want something to listen to in the background and not pay much attention to it. That being said, the narrator is irritating with her monotone and predictable recitation, and the main character is the most obnoxious, judgmental, and flat character I’ve encountered recently.

Excellent book!

Suspenseful, exciting, and intriguing plot, and the narrator did an amazing job with the different voices! Looking forward to when book 2 becomes an audiobook!!

Love it!

So good! I could not put it down, and since it was an audio book, I didn’t have to! Great story, great characters, I can’t wait to get started on the next book :))

Unlikable Characters

This book was a tough one for me. First, listen to the sample and see if the narrator is for you. I wish I would have done this first!! Second, the main character and actually, most of the the characters, are extremely unlikable and have little redeeming qualities. Typical teenage mean girl story only this one ends in "murder". I don't know, some people have said they loved it and couldn't put it down. I, on the other hand, could barely make it thru till the end. This story just wasn't for me.

Sooo good!

A great murder mystery with just the right touch of teenage romance! This was definitely a page turner, and it was totally unpredictable!

An OK story

Not bad but not good. it had potential but I think the author spent to much time rehashing the same details over and over instead of elaborating more on the story

SO GOOD!

I can’t wait to read more books from this author. She managed to get the action started from the get go (on Chapter 1!!!) and kept me guessing till the end.

The narrator is really good too and I enjoyed the different voices she made. The tiny issue I had while listening to this narrator is that she reads some commas in a very “narrated” way instead of reading it as if someone was actually saying the characters’ thoughts out loud (I hope this makes sense).

Anyways, I 100% recommend this book and am going to start the second one as soon as I submit this review :)

Unexpected

The story captivated me very quickly which is a good sign of good book! I was hooked all through the book, trying to figure out, then thinking I figured it out only to be surprised that I didn't have it figured out! LOL! The ending was very unexpected and left me ready for the next one.

Solid 5 stars

Was intriguing all the way through. Had me guessing until the end. I liked all the characters protags and villans alike, and even the main character, which is rare for me. Narrator was great as well.

I feel like the author might have a problem with people dressing in all black. :D Something that i do every day, which is why I noticed. <3
