It combines all the classic elements so elegantly

This book series has it all if you love Jane Austin, Mary Shelly and Anne Rice then you should really enjoy this story line as I have. It combines all the classic elements so elegantly intertwined with monsters, witchcraft, creatures and dead things. A touch of romance, mystery and intrigue keeps the stories moving along and while the underlying storyline carries through the top level stories change enough to keep you coming back and wanting to see how it ends. I have really enjoyed this collection and can't wait to get to the next set. Really glad I came across this author.

Captivating

Great story telling 👏 Binged while decorating for holidays and then cleaning. Great story to listen to while being productive. Already given the people the nudge to purchase.

The Stories Work As a Collection

I liked the first collection, and I like this one too. I would not have waded through each individual book, but put the last three books in the collection together, and you get a great example of the sum total being greater than it's individual parts. Sometimes the "feminist railing" themes become tedious and preachy, but still, Marian Hussey really makes the collection work.

All the historical drama/mystery I love weaved into and throughout fantasy.

I wish there was more.

Great story!

Loved to storyline and the reading of it was spot on. The narrator on an audiobook can destroy the whole story or breathe life into it. Well done!

Fun listen, interesting take on subject

I really enjoyed listening to this series. Each book built successfully to the next. Nothing seemed rushed and the storyline was very unique!

Gothic, Lovely, Enjoyable

A story that makes me think of Sherlock Holmes meets Addams Family. A feel-good read that doesn't diminish the experiences of especially women of the time.
I've already re-read the whole series about four times this year.

A great find!

This was a charming romp through Regency era England. The main characters are mostly likeable and Marian Hussey does an excellent job of bringing them to life. The books are short but when you can get three for one credit and a whole series for 2 credits it's a great deal! This was nice mix of urban fantasy, mystery, and historical fiction with a sweet romance as well. My only complaint is that the story ended very abruptly. Everyone will live happily ever after, The End.... I think there is more to these stories that could and maybe should have been fleshed out.

Anyway, worth the two credits and I will most likely pick up the next series as well when book three comes out on Audible.
