Intense and Twisted!

Great psychological thriller that kept me guessing. Never expected the ending to take such a turn. Scary to think we can be fooled by those who are closest to us. What a big surprise that was! Although this is not a lengthy novel, the time spent listening really flew by. As for Lucy Price-Lewis performance of each of the characters, she definitely managed to bring all of them to life. It was easy to figure out which one was speaking at any given time. I will now check out other books from the author. 😊👍🏼

One of the best books ever

The beginning is a little off putting for anyone who has had a jealous mother in law. I actually quit listening. I am so glad that I stuck it out because this is the next "Girl on a Train".

Irritating Tale

K. L. Slater must have tried to write this novel in 6 hours or less. In my opinion Liar is a poorly constructed book. The plot of the story becomes increasingly difficult to believe. How could the intelligent son fall for Amber? What do Henry’s indiscretions have to do with anything? And where does Fiona figure in? It’s as if the author couldn’t decide which direction the story should take.
As always Lucy Price-Lewis did a fine narrating job. Unfortunately even she couldn’t make Judy less irritating. I continued to listen to the book because several reviewers said the ending was unexpected. However I found the ending of Liar to be an out of the blue theme, written just to finish the book.

Very good!

This was one of those books where both of the main characters were annoying--but that was the point--it made it hard to guess the end when both of them were so flawed. I enjoyed the book, and the narrator was so excellent.

Okay read but frustrating

I struggled to finish and was only able to so I could find out the 'twist'. Story dragged on way to long and at times sounded like the main character was just rambling. The other characters seemed flat. The only purpose I saw them serve was to have a reason for the main character to complain. The narrator did an excellent job but I won't be listening to this again.

Surprising

Truly a psychological thriller
Great character development and storyline
The non liner approach makes it an exciting story to the end
