BDSM romance with suspense

The narration is superb. Well worth a listen. A fired beautiful accountant Elizabeth falls at the feet of a billionaire Alexander. It is almost instant love for him but she gets there. Alexander also has a slightly older brother who is into gambling. Both brothers are into BDSM but at different ends of the spectrum so we know there will be a future story about Nicholas. Alexander is more conservative and restrained. The story is surprisingly engaging and plenty of action and suspense. Some PDSD issues as well. The one really incongruent element in the narrative is that Elizabeth had been brought up in wealth but was living in a small apartment on a fairly modest salary. She had been disinherited five years earlier but she still had a lavish upbringing which rarely is apparent. In fact, Elizabeth, who is bright but sexually submissive, kind, determined career woman but she seems to have a really ridiculous inferiority complex. She also has panic attacks at the start and that of course. Alexander is a romantic, very controlling, and a savvy businessman. The story ends a bit abruptly with several parts of the story which hopefully will be resolved in the next book.

Great Story

This is one case where I’d read the book in eBook form before listening to it on Audible. While the performances were really good, I felt they slightly changed the tenor of the story, certainly not to the point of being problematic, but changed nonetheless. I found the accents to be slightly distracting, but overall I enjoyed this audio book.

East and Wolfe do it again!!! An amazing duo that make this story even better!! The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes are amazing and even make me blush. I wish her parents might have made an appearance near the end. Love the story!!

So much better than fifty shades

Excellent story line - no abuse - safe, sane, consensual. Had low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised.

Elizabeth an accountant that had a photogenic memory was good at her job that is until she got fired from the accounting firm for making major mistakes on a clients tax returns. Now unemployed runs into heartthrob Billionaire Alexander the riches man in Boston. Is it fate or a burden with all that Elizabeth has uncovered that her ex employer was getting away with and needing a fall guy. This was a great read, had mystery, BDSM & romance…

Fantastic!

Loved this story! I couldn't stop listening! The narrators were great! I found the bdsm aspect of the story enlightening.

Where O'Where is Mr. Darcy? (wink, wink)

The Heroine, "In His Silks" is named Elizabeth Bennett. I kept waiting for ANY reference to Pride & Prejudice or for Mr. Darcy to show up. After the Hero, Mr. Alexander Fairhaven is a Brit ❤ I digress.

This was actually my third listen of "In His Silks" by Patricia Eddy. While I never originally left a review, the book is brilliantly written. From the well crafted meeting of the H/h, to the pursuit, the intrigue, the love and of course the delicious sex the story leaves no detail to chance. The BDSM is more realistic to real thing (except for the dashing British Dom) well at least more real than other books.

The performances of The Shane East❤ & Miss Elena Wolfe 🌺were movie worthy. I enjoyed how they each brought their characters to life but it was more than that...the duo brought the H/h together. This made the story more beautifully believable. Thus making it easy to get lost in the twist & turns, each individual moment and overall most enjoyable.

Worth a Credit? Absolutely BUT...
Now here's my only complaint. Book 2 is a short (2ish hours) continuation of Elizabeth & Alexander's story. Yet we have been forced to purchased it because of course one wants too know what happens next for this couple. Then we need to purchase 3 & 4. I would rather pay more and get it in one shot as opposed to be handcuffed into purchasing or waiting for the rest of the story to follow.

The opinions expressed are my own. I have a large (2500+) Audible library so I have a lot of opinions.

it never makes sense to me how the women in theses books all most get killed then whine when the man wants to protect them really but I love the couple in this book

Too easy

Is it me, or does Elena Wolfe and Andi Arndt sound exactly the same? Why the different names? Also, the main character Alexander falls in love way too fast and has too many parallels to Fifty Shades.
