Publisher's Summary

Love isn't a game....

I've given up everything for the chance to play major league baseball. Everything. Now I'm so close I can practically hear the crowd chanting my name. There's nothing that could take my dream away from me.

Unless I lose focus. And Ainsley Burke is the most beautiful, distracting woman I've ever met. When I'm with her, I can't think of anything else.

But no matter how much I want Ainsley, there's no room for love in my game plan. I can give her a quick tour of the bases, but that's it. Then I have to let her go. If she wants to think I'm a love 'em and leave 'em player, fine.

All dreams require sacrifice. I just wish this one didn't mean tearing out my own heart.

Another Home Run for Heidi McLaughlin

Spring training makes for great times for the Boston Renegades. They are getting back into the swing of things. It isn't all practice, practice, practice. Ryan Stone has the members doing social events for their fans.

Cooper Bailey is one player that would rather practice, practice, practice. He thought he was safe when he was moved up from the minors. Now that Bainbridge is staying, Cooper can't drop the ball. He needs to prove his value. A day at the zoo with under privileged children changes everything.

It isn't the adorable children that make his life interesting, but one of the employees at Naples Zoo. Ainsley Burke's life is spiraling and she has not time for the super cute centerfielder. But looking is okay right?

Cooper and Ainsley have so many obstacles on their journey. Their parents are the worst. Her mom is dying and adamant that Ainsley avoid all athletes. What is an only child to do as she watches her mother waste away? His father is domineering, controlling, and a few other things that you will have to decide for yourself. All I wanted Cooper to do was to tell him to take a hike. Like a bad penny that man keeps coming back.
