In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother. And that his best friend has a crush on me. And that I just moved in with them. Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

Every bartender should follow one simple rule - don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar - also known as me. It’s natural to want the one you can’t have. And for as long as I could remember, I’d secretly wanted my brother’s best friend, Jace. He was six years older and always treated me like the sister he never had. Fast forward a decade. We were all in our 20s now. Jace had moved in with my brother, Nathan, and me to help us make ends meet after our parents died. It was just the three of us - an odd family dynamic. Living under our roof, Jace was as bossy and protective as ever. But he certainly didn’t look at me like a sister anymore. That was what made things so complicated.

Publisher's Summary
A brand new stand-alone romantic comedy from the best-selling, award-winning team of Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy.
Hosting her brother's wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning's life. Already the family screw-up, she can't afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.
Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate's gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he's the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he's facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he's really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you've got to make an effort if you want to score.
But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?
Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not listen in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling, and a snarky pair of underwear. Cover art copyright Okay Creations.

Blake Riley makes me smiley-and so does this audio
Good Boy was fantastic-story, narration, the whole ball of wax. The Blake-isms by the huge puppy dog of a hockey player, Blake Riley, are sure to keep you smiling all day. That and his humongous...heart.
I love all the books of this series (technically, this is book 3 of the Him series) and get ready for the feelings because Jamie and Wes are prominent in the first few chapters. If you've listened to Us, you know why. Good luck keeping the tears at bay, in the best possible way. If you haven't listened to Him and Us, I can't recommend them enough-period. Him is my #1 all time listen because #wesmie.
Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby both turn in amazing performances and hit all the right notes with their voice acting skills. Loved this book and can't wait for the next parts of the WAGS series.

Did not finish
I’m not ok with toxic masculinity and possessiveness. I stopped at “if I can’t fuck you no one can”. That’s not cool. I get the story is hinting at there is more to male lead than meets the eye. But the possessiveness and not respecting NO is too much for me to keep going. This one’s a pass for me.

Let me start by saying that my review is completely base on the Audiobook and unfortunately the narration didn't work for me and actually made me dislike the characters. I know if I had read this book I would have loved it but I didn't. The narrators are both good narrators but the female narrator narrated 80% of this book and she really didn't fit, she made Jess sound too old and honestly made her seem like a snobby B*tch and I don't think she was supposed to be, just like I think Blake was supposed to be a fun loving playful guy and her voice/tone for him made his seem dumb and kinda of like an air head. The entire time I was listening I was thinking that another narrator would have brought these characters both about in a different light. I am not bashing her, I just really feel like she was not the right choice for this book.
The story itself was sweet and sexy and exactly what I expected from these authors! I was excited to get a little Will & Jamie time too! I've still got high hopes for the next book in this series.

Absolutely loved this story. Blake Riley is such a love bug and he's oh so swoony, sweet, a teddy bear with big paws but at the same time he is sensuous, loud and a dirty talker! The banter between he and Jess is hysterical!! I loved the continuation of Jamie and Wes and it just warmed my heart and soul.
Teddy Hamilton as Blake was amazing as always!

Blake is horrible
I started this hoping Blake would be better than the previous books, but he is legitimately infuriating and inappropriate. Climbing into bed or going into a bathroom with a woman showering uninvited is not adorable and harmless, it's sexual harassment. The excellent narrators can't salvage Blake's personality to make this book palatable to me

This book was well written and I loved the characters, but there was zero plot! No obstacles, no story arc, no climax. I kept waiting for something to happen, then all of a sudden it was over. Two people fell in love. Authors - you can do better, and I really hope you do because I like your style.

This is a great fun listen. It made me laugh out loud, I was listening at work and had to cover my unexpected laugh with a cough and I was smiling so much that my co-workers kept looking at me like I had lost it . Loved Blake! He was annoying, arrogant, juvenile, charming, larger than life and hiding such a huge heart, caring for friends, family and furry critters all at the same time. A good story worth listening to. Will make you laugh out loud as well as cringe. Loved it.

Love this series!
As the first book in the WAGS series, or the third book in the HIM series, Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy continue to have a winner. Meeting Jess and Blake in book 2, we got a glimpse of their personalities, especially Blake. He is the wise-cracking, fun friend who lives upstairs from Wes and Jamie. After a one night stand, Blake and Jess can't seem to let each other go. While no huge climactic scenes, but the story itself if pure entertainment. There is some drama with Blake's past that needs to be handled, as well as Jess coming into her own. The family interaction from both sides is the best part of the book for me. I love Blake's mom, she is larger than life, much like her son. Love seeing Wes, Jamie and the team as well, it gives such continuity to the story.
The two narrators are wonderful. I love them both. Tanya Eby gives Jess that warm voice with some angst as she runs through her crazy life, and Teddy Hamilton is the gruff and sensual Blake. The two compliment each other well.

What the heck is Toronto Red?
The main male character is a hockey player playing for the NHL in Toronto. That team exists. It’s the Maple Leafs and their logo is blue. I don’t know why the main female character keeps going on about Toronto red nail polish and lipstick and glitter that is the same shade as the logo. It just bugged me.
Also, the main male character is annoying. I think he is supposed to be written as, like, an overgrown child or puppy or something, but he’s kind of awful. He continuously inserts himself where he isn’t wanted, does careless things and is completely un-self-aware which we can tell from the chapters from his point of view where he is congratulating himself for his brilliant ideas and decisions. I got this book because there is another one in this series that focused on Wes and Jamie. Unfortunately this one didn’t measure up.

Voices were just perfect for these guys and Blake Riley made me Smiley more than once while I was listening!
Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen certainly know how to write a fantastic book!

The best kind of good!
Loved it! Humor check. Heart check. Sexy check. Author had time to write the story and enjoyed it, check. Author did not try to gross me out, check. Narrators good, check.
Am so happy about this book. Thank you!! Author made it seem effortless to write an enjoyable story, without filling it with ... unnecessary ... well ... Let's start again. This is a story that avoids feeling like factory work to me. Absolutely human and lovely.

*5 Stars*
Loved this audio. I listened to this in only a few days, which is unusual for me. I really liked both Jess and Blake, and even though they seem so different to each other, they work well as a couple. Blake has a lot more to him underneath the fun and cheery personality. Jess has some great serious moment in her nursing role.
The Riley family is awesome, except for Brenna in some parts, but that gets resolved as things go on. Wesmie are in this of course and I loved having the there too.
Really enjoyed this one, and definitely recommend!

the beginning - meh.
the start of the book wasn't all that inviting. but I pushed through, just had it on in the background while doing house work. it didn't start to get funny till about mid to 3/4s of the way through. but after it got funny, it was actually good. the narrators weren't that great, nothing on Jacob Morgan in Stay. it was well read, but not acted.

Fun!!
I'll admit to just selecting this book at random when I needed a filler to tide me over till I could get the next book in a favourite series of mine, but I actually found myself enjoying it more than I thought I would!
Wasn't overly keen on her voice but liked his. But enjoyed the story enough that I could get past that.
I'm curious to know if anyone else thought the ending was a bit random? I mean it was great, they were happy and excited about the game but it felt like there should be more.

So funny 🤣🤣
Teddy Hamilton was the perfect choice for Blake. His character was so funny and he read this perfectly. This was the first book I have listened to by these authors and I have just bought book 2 in the series. It was a great listen for our road trip and would recommend to anyone who wants a light, easy read. Very entertaining and lots of laughs. Took a little time for the female narrator to grow on me but by the half way mark I was enjoying her voice too.

Love
I love this book so much, I love that it wasn’t insta love and there were so many dramas and reasons not to be together but they worked on it. This book is just everything and revisiting Jamie and Wes just took it to the next level. Great narrators and an even better story line

So much fun to listen to
Story = 4 1/2 stars
Blake Riley is without a doubt my favourite character in Good Boy ( other than Jamie and Wes of course! ). I liked Jess too, but Blake was just hilarious. I smiled so many times listening to his POV, he was sweet, at times goofy and completely oblivious, and persistent! He was such a good match for Jess, it just took a while for Jess to be able to see that as well. Loved, moving onto Stay now. Him/Us/Good Boy have all been amazing audiobooks to listen to, and I enjoyed reading the ebooks as well.

Yes and no
For me the first 1/2 of this book didn’t grab me I was even thinking I’m going to give up so I listened in a faster speed then with about 3 hrs left I loved it, so I’m on the fence with the his book maybe having 2 authors I resonated to one style of writing to the other
It not a book I’d listen to again but I bought the next in the series.
The narrators were great 👍 I liked them both

Voice
I really love this story, and Teddy did a great job with Blake, but I feel like the woman's voice was too old for the character...
