Great Listen, Worth the Credit

I really enjoy this book. At some point I can see even listening to it again. Oh the characters were believable and so was the trajectory of their story. I felt like the end was a little rushed, but it was fine and I found myself feeling satisfied once the book concluded. This book was so different than the first of the series and I was pleasantly surprised. A great read.

Sweet, perfect, listen

After a (too) long delve into the darker side of the “romance” category, this was the perfect book to bring me back to the light.
This book:
-Is way low on the angst scale
-Has a sweet plot (+ hockey players!)
-Is well told, with not a lot of unnecessary, distracting, words. (And we see the MCs together a lot)
-Has good narration, I loved the Russian accent (though I kind of wish Michael Dean just did them all :D)
-Does not require me to suspend belief in extreme directions. Like, I can totally see this story playing out in a parallel universe
-vanilla, but a perfect quantity of steamy scenes

So far this is the sweetest book of the year and I will definitely listen to it again (and probably again)

Save this story!

This was a beautiful story, but due to bad narration, I almost stopped the book several times. Most of the characters were believable, but this narrator s choice of a Romanian accent for th e Russian hockey player is beyond unfortunate! He sou red like a 70s movie Vampire! And not in a sexy way, but clipped robotic sentences. I really wish I would have read this as a physical book.

Implausible but hot

Liked the presentation. Russian accent excellent. Nicely teasing. Sex novel and fun

Implausible aspects. Surely the press and friends would have questioned his non appearance at social events of a girl regular or otherwise 7 years.

No servants at his mansion in two weeks . Hard work in between the sex

I love this

omg I don't know if I have the words to express how much I love this. I found a random tiktok video of how when they got this book, they couldn't put it down and I agree. The chemistry between the two was amazing. I loved how it went through the years of them knowing eachother and the end had me screaming it was so cute. I almost wish it would continue on. Overall I def suggest to others if you are on the fence. It had some spicy scenes, parts where I was sad, giggling like mad and rolling on the floor laughing. The narrator had a nice voice too and while I can't say if it was an authentic Russian sounding accent because I honestly don't know, it sounded hot.
edit- just found out there was a sequel. diff narrator but clicked buy so fast.
