Carter Morgan III hates everything about South Carolina University except for one thing: hockey.

As the starting netminder for the team, he lives for those moments when he can step onto the ice and between the pipes. Unfortunately, his time at school and on the team is slowly coming to an end. Although he'd love nothing more than to pursue a career in the NHL, he knows better than to get his hopes up.

Zeke Cassidy needs a place to live. When he answers an advertisement for a roommate, he's not sure what he is expecting except that it isn't Carter Morgan III. Carter is unfriendly and aloof, and they have nothing in common. Even so, the pair hit it off immediately and become friends.

Carter knows Zeke isn't interested in being anything beyond friends and roommates. Unfortunately, knowing this doesn't stop him from hoping for more, no matter how much he tries to convince himself it's impossible.

A Comfort Read and the Narrators were Perfect

I’ve read the book and now listening to it read by Iggy Toma and Liam DiCosimo just makes it better. Really love JJ Mulder’s writing!

Easy heartwarming romance

This was a nice heartwarming romance to read on a rainy summer day, I enjoyed it.

Loved having these two in my ears!!!

Such an amazing story and the narrators were perfect for the characters! Definitely one I will be listening to again!

Slow burn, but the storyline was good

This is the first time listening tot this author but with with Iggy and Liam you can’t go wrong. I liked that this book kept to the roles well and didn’t instantly try to change the characters personality to go from having hard limits to none at all. I know all these characters are fictional but I think it’s unrealistic to change characters traits so quickly. As my title suggests it was an extremely slow burn, but it keeps your interest. It’s about 1-2 🌶️🌶️ on spice level, but a cute story none the less. I would recommend and pick up their series with the other 2 books too.

Such a sweet MM romance

“Shots On Net” 🏒 🏳️‍🌈 I loved this sweet @authorjjmulder hockey romance of roommates to friends to lovers! Even though Carter is grumpy and antisocial with almost everyone, he falls first and hard for his new roomie. He respects Zeke’s demisexuality and they become friends in this slow burn. Zeke also supports Carter in his real dreams and goals.

Sweet, Simple, and Maybe Too Easy.

This book is cute—almost too cute for my taste, if I’m being honest. There’s zero drama, zero angst. They meet, they fall in love, they communicate like champs, and every potential issue is handled with total ease. Honestly, Cinderella had more plot twists.

That said, I really liked the characters—especially Zeke, who’s some great demi rep—and the audiobook was very well done!

A Feel-Good College Romance

Carter and Zeke are some of the most lovable characters I've listened to. There's plenty to relate to with both of them. I really enjoyed that the brooding intimidating one is the one to really lead the charge on this romance. And having some demisexual representation means a lot. Overall it is a great listen and a feel good story even if it does lack a bit of depth.

Great characters, fun banter, perfect comfort book. I really loved seeing the relationship develop for the MCs.

Collage Hockey romance

Well written collage hockey romance. Let's start with the goalie. Great first book in the series. A fun listen with a cute couple. Not as many sexy hot sex scenes as we usually see but the story is good. The narration really draws you in and keeps you listening. Great pairing of narrators. Bring on book two..... I'll be patiently waiting to listen to what comes next.👏❤
