Shaw

Ever since we met two years ago, Eden Burkehammer has made everything better.

The big defenseman sets me at ease. He’s a beast on the ice—brutal and physical—but when it’s the two of us, he turns to me with these unexpectedly soft brown eyes. This gravelly laugh that makes my whole body smile. And yeah, I might have thrown a glance his way a time or two in the steamed-up locker room showers—you know, just curious.

But he’s my best friend. My teammate. Roommate.

I don’t want to mess with that. Just the thought of losing him sends a cold zap the full length of my spine. Besides, I’ve never gone there with a guy, and he’s never given a single hint he has either.

Until one morning when I sign for his delivery. An envelope that contains something I never—in my life—would have guessed.

And, suddenly, I’m thinking about him in a whole new way.

Burk

I can’t look at Shaw Keenan for too long. When he leans across my truck console, with that whip-quick smile, I get this catch in my throat and focus on the road. Or when he tips his goalie mask up onto his head, hair askew and a flush of adrenaline on his cheeks, I skate back toward the blue line.

I don’t know why. My head’s confused about a lot of stuff. Always has been. But what I do know is that I’ve never thought about anyone the way I think about him.

Especially when he steps through my doorway—in nothing but a pair of thin running shorts and that backwards pink ballcap he always wears—holding a package I ordered on a whim.

And he’s looking at me in a way he never has before.

It’s game over after that.

Let’s Do This is a steamy, low-angst, friends-to-lovers college hockey m/m romance with double first times, a flirty goalie, and a gruff defenseman willing to risk it all for a chance with his best friend. It’s a spin-off from Indigo Falls College Series and a standalone.

Comfort listen !

It’s been a while since I’ve really enjoyed a sports romance. I love that this was very low angst. The whole book left me with the warm and fuzzies. Love seeing their relationship grow and be accepted by everyone that matters. It’s your looking for a light hearted friends to lovers mm. This is the book for you. So glad I picked this book up, my only wish is that it was a series so the love can continue.

Amazing Hockey MM Romance

This is a top-tier MM hockey romance in my opinion. it's relatively low-angst, a steamy friends-to-lovers story with lots of insecure introspection and sugary-sweet feelings. Burke and Shaw are discovering their sexuality together and realizing that their deep friendship is even more meaningful than they had realized, and they're so endearing. I love their friend group/roommates as well, and hope we get to hear more about them in future books. Narration is great, even if Liam Dicosimo's accent for Burke is a little off (though I'm actually from "the Delta," where Burke is supposed to be from, so I'm probably pickier than most). I have loved this story since I first read it, so I was delighted to have these characters brought to life! Can't wait to listen again and again ❤️

A Friends to Lovers you don’t want to miss…

I am not normally a ‘friends to lovers’ fan - it takes a certain couple and a certain story to bring me around. This is a story that did that. It was already a comfort read for me in my Kindle (and in paperback) - so I was thrilled to find it had made its way to audio. I will say the only reason this is not five stars across the board it’s there was an issue with me with Burk’s accent - it took me awhile to adjust. But I love Tim and Liam working together on this - they brought these two hockey idiots in love to life in a way that is just wonderful. I can’t wait to listen to it again!

Sweet story

A great friends to lovers story. The characters are well developed and we can't get enough of them. Would have liked a book 2 stretching out the epilogue but it's a great listen.

Can’t stop reading!

Found this book just over a month ago and I’ve already listened to it three times. I am so in love with these two and their journey to love.

Burky is such an amazing teddy bear of a man who has no problem knocking out his enemies on the ice to protect his boy, Shaw. Starting from chapter one the attraction is VERY much noticeable. The steps they take to find their true selves and the love for each other is one of low angst, medium steam, and a whole love of giddy feelings that make single people determined to find this kind of sweet devotion. 😍♥️

Narrators are PERFECT as always. I’ve listened to a few of their books and each one is just wonderful. I hope there ends up being more books based on the roommates because even the side characters were perfection.

This is a spin off of Always from the Indigo series. Always is the only book out so far and hopefully there’s more of that set too! Can’t go wrong with this author’s books!

just loved

I loved it. three feels good the whole time. the only issue I have is the last few chapters. seem really rushed or didn't know what to put in between so many skipped years. didn't need to hear all of them but something. always love these narrator's. specially tim Paige. always love his voice.

5 🌟

I don't typically give out 5 stars. Like ever! But this book was just so freaking good. At one point I had a full body shiver from one sentence. And by the bonus epilogue I was tearing up because it was over. Yes its a sports romance but it's just so sweet this growing relationship between best friends to lovers to husband's.
These narrator's did such a fantastic job bringing these men to life.

So close to being perfect

This is my second Loren Leigh book and I will state again that this author is a very good writer who consistently creates layered, believable characters. If about a quarter of this book had been cut, it would have been perfection. As it is, the main characters’ internal monologues and constant second-guessing of emotions and expectations become repetitive and slow the momentum of the story. That’s a shame, because the love story that is centered here — not the steamy scenes, which are fine, but the actual story of falling hopelessly in love with your best friend — is simply beautiful. I was rooting hard for Shaw and Eden and could feel the intensity of their attraction and the depth of their love.

Props to two of my favorite narrators for nailing every nuance in these characters’ voices, as they always do. An absolute master class in audiobook narration, gentlemen.

Love them!

I’ve forgotten how much I absolutely love this book until I pick it up again, so when I saw it available on audio, I knew I had to grab it!

Tim and Liam do a wonderful job but the accent for Burke, I feel gets forgotten sometimes? Its weird. Tim will be talking for Shaw and then just not switch back to having a Southern drawl.

Still good though!
