Danton and Tracy

This is such a good series, I've enjoyed every single one of the books they are all really well written with such excellent characters and chemistry. This is quite a quick listen and is about Danton, the eldest of the three brothers featured in the first book of this series, Cursed. He's been at Vamps from its opening, only being released from his cursed stone state when his help is needed to protect a human. Tracy has worked as a bartender at Vamps since its opening, she's always felt drawn to the Gargoyle statue which sits behind the bar and has taken to confiding her deepest secrets, ambitions and fears to it. She has no idea why she chose this statue from the many at Vamps.

Tracy doesn't have the best track record with men, she has even had to get a restraining order against her latest ex so when late one night he arrives at Vamps and confronts her whilst she's alone it's Danton who comes to her aid. She might have worked at Vamps for a long time but she had no idea the supernatural world existed.

Tracy and Danton have 24 hours to spend together before he returns to his stone form, will that be enough time for Danton to explain to her all she needs to know and to convince her to take a chance on him?

The narration of this book by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton was so well done, their voices conveyed every emotion both Danton and Tracy were feeling and brought this story to life beautifully.

Book 5 - Underground Encounters

Book 5 in the Underground Encounters series by Carlisle and another incredible addition. We finally get some answers for the gargoyles that we read / listened to in Cursed. A quick, yet beautiful love story where past hurts and fear could cause the loss of a forever love. Well written and again with the accents in the narration - I LOVE it!!! Short, sweet, and steamy - everything you could want for an afternoon escape.

Amazing

As always another amazing and exciting story. This book and the other books are a must listen to books. The narrators where amazing, just amazing.

Sweet and Romantic!

I love this book. Lisa Carlisle gives just the right mix of edginess and sweet romance. The narration is sizzling and makes you feel like you are there with the characters, feeling all their emotions. I very highly recommend this book.

Sizzling Chemistry!

This short novella is the fifth book in the Underground Encounters Series. Tracy and Danton's story is sweet, sexy, and fast paced. This short story is a great addition to the series. They share a sizzling chemistry. I liked to see again Lucan, and Mattias, and I can't wait to listen to their story (in books 8 and 9). Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Blaze, the next book in the Series. #StoryOrigin

Excellent Audiobook!!!!

Heat, an Audiobook by Lisa Carlisle, is book 6 of the Underground Encounter series…and I LOVED it!!!! This is the story of Danton and Tracy. She’s a bartender at Vamps…and is drawn to the gargoyle statue in the bar. Danton is a cursed Gargoyle who is stone until someone needs his help.

This story was soooooo unique!!! It was an entrancing, deeply moving story. Danton’s intense love for her…and his internal anguish was incredible to read!!! Tracy is so naïve, innocent, and unknowing….it is a wonderful coming together of two intensely caring souls!!!

This story was narrated by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton…like the previous stories in this series, they do a formidable job of bringing these characters to life!!! I love this performance duo!!! Wonderful job!!!

Enchanting!

Heat is a wonderful addition to the Underground Encounters series by Lisa Carlisle. If you like Vampires, Witches, Gargoyles, Shifters and Humans, Vamps is the nightclub for you. Tracy loves working there, dancing, the live music, mixing and serving drinks and pouring her heart out to the Gargoyle who stands watch over the club and its activities. Each night, when she feels troubled, Tracy discusses her worries with the stone beast. One night her violent ex-boyfriend comes into the club and marches right up to her, demanding that she give him another chance. Drunk, as usual, he gets aggressive with her when she says no. As her ex gets ready to continue his assault on Tracy, the Gargoyle begins to shift into a beautiful, golden-haired, winged man and threatens to stomp his head into the ground. Tracy may be shocked, at first, but she has a feeling that she knows him. Danton has listened to Tracy and marveled over her beauty for the entire time he has been standing in Vamps, just waiting for her to share more of her life with him. He tells her that he was cursed by a witch when he was 13 and has been in the form of a Gargoyle for decades. He is able to break through the spell when someone he cares about is threatened and stays in human form for 24 hours. There are sparks that sizzle out of control and after a day of pure enjoyment, they have a night of passion. Danton is sure that Tracy is his mate, and his only way to break the curse forever, is for her to acknowledge him as her mate. This is such a sweet story, laced with intrigue, desire and true friendship. There was a bonus to the love between Danton and Tracy in that the two of them were now powerful enough to release one of his brothers from the witch's curse. Vamps is one of my favorite locations for Lisa Carlisle's stories and those that I've already read or listened to have been equally intense and enchanting! 
The narration was impeccably done by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton with voices laced with emotion and personality. They have the ability to take a story and turn it into an experience!

I have this in ebook Gargoyle’s Embrace. Love reading it but this audiobook is fantastic with it giving so much more. I think the narrators do a fabulous job and enjoy listening.

Her gargoyle statue came to life. Whoa.

Tracy is a bartender at Vamps. She likes to talk to a particular gargoyle statue that sits near the bar. She tells it everything that is bothering her while she gets the bar ready for customers. One night her abusive ex shows up and when he threatens her the gargoyle is suddenly real. He comes close to killing the man, but Tracy stops him. She ends up taking the gargoyle shifter home with her as it seems he needs a place to stay for the day.

Danton can't believe he has finally gotten the chance to meet his mate in his human form. He has been in love with her ever since she started working at the bar and has listened carefully to all she told him about her life. He only has 24 hours to try to convince her to bond with him and break the curse he is under. Will it be enough time?

Quick, Fun & Steamy

This is another very good entry in this shifter series. I liked Danton and Tracy. I really enjoyed their chemistry and the element of sweetness that pervaded their romance. This is a quick read and I felt that sort of hindered this couple's story a bit. When you had to take into consideration Tracy's history, this short form just felt a bit off. Still I found this a fun and enjoyable read but I did feel like there was some untapped potential here. The dual narration on this book was well done and I liked the narrator's voice. They did an excellent job in immersing you in the story and helping you connect with the characters.
