10/10 would recommend this series. I really loved it. Enough to listen to all 8 books twice.

Great story, very interesting concept. Definitely worth this buy and the next one for the second half of the series.

Overall, this is an excellent story. My only complaint is in book 4 some of the sex scenes were unneccessary.

The end of testing all the players was exciting and also left me hanging about the ending.

yes to villain academy it was worth the credit I couldn't put the book's down and when I did I picked it right back up. if you like treachery a little bit of sex pades and the running backward and forward trying to figure out everybody's motives you might love this book's as much as I did. I can't wait for the next series.

Female characters ugh

The main female character is so weak it makes it for me a little difficult to get into every time she starts to show strength and I think the author is going to continue back down we go to her acting like a small weak mouse. I’m only on book 3 so I’m hoping that it gets better otherwise it would be a disappointment as everything else about the book is great.

Amazing academy story

This was such a fantastic story and series and the characters are amazing and the story makes you think of what it would be like to find out you have magic that you didn’t know you had

Story moves very slowly but still an good read

The characters and interesting new take on magical powers is fun and intriguing. Slow to pull together but entertaining enough to keep reading.

look, the story was well told, and written, but I didn't expect the main character to get that way... partial spoiler.....

woah, was the main gal nieve... and way too trusting, even though she said she shouldn't trust the other guys, never tried to find out details she needed late in story...
plus, man she got naughty quick...
sure, she was deprived of relationships being homeschooled, but got herself a 3some pretty fast, especially with guys who bullied her and who were disrupting her life not long before.
within 6 months of losing her parents?
maybe if it was written that because she hasn't had interested people in her, she "opened herself" in many more ways than one, after she no longer had patents to tell her no, but sheesh...
still, narrators were great, and a well written naughty story...

These were different than what I normally read.

I really liked the use of magic. completely different from the witches and vampires and shifter, books that i'm normally used to who use magic. This series was super dark. I'm so used to the heroes and not the villains. I found myself raging so much for Rory and all the injustices she was experiencing, and I was so happy that she was fighting back and never folding, no matter how many times they pushed her down and how many people who were against her.
