Gargoyles and Much more

Larissa and Roman

I have read the series! What a surprise when I started listening and realized I HAD NOT read this one. A wonderful story.

Larissa, a cop recovering from living through The Boston Marathon Bombing where not only so many people were injured and killed but one was her best friend. If her friend is brave enough with her remaining scars can go out and wants Larissa to come out she'll do it. Even if it is on the night of the eclipse of the moon. Cops know even full moons seem to bring out the weirdos.

Little did she know just how weird it was gonna get. Starting with her reaction to a hot guy. Roman reacted just as strong and as a human guardian gargoyle, it was his excuse to get close--really close.

The two were going to have a long night with danger she could never have imagined.

The world-building is amazing. Love the characters and narration. Five stars all the way.

I loved it!

This was a wonderful novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it. When two very different people who are basically exactly the same find each other, it's awesome. The narrator's did a great job. Male and female which i do prefer. Correct enunciation, easy to understand language, and I always knew right where I was. Tone was great and so was excitement level.

Love This Book!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I had read this book about three years ago and loved it then, the audiobook did not disappoint!! Larissa is a Boston P.O. who has PTSD since her best friend Janie was injured in the Boston marathon bombing. Larissa can sometimes since when something is about to happen and she doesn't think that the Blood Moon is anything special and Janie insists they have a girls night out. Roman is a gargoyle shifter and he is the commander of the stone sentries and they protect the humans. He knew something was going to happen during the Blood Moon. When Roman and Larissa meet there is chemistry and attraction but both sense that something is wrong. Boston comes under attack, and Roman and Larissa must fight together to save the city. Narrators Kieran Flitton and Bridget Bordeaux does a great job with this story and the characters.

just didn't connect to the two main characters

I really wanted to like this book more but I don't know the heroine irked me and hero was sort of bland to me. I liked the best friend more she had more personality. The tone changed pretty quick in the middle and I was sad but it turned around. I like that it mentions the Boston bombings and real ptsd symptoms and I quite liked the narrators accent though and I love gargoyles in general.

Not my thing

The story was hard to follow and a bit clustered. Maybe it just wasn’t my thing. If you like gargoyles id give it a try. The performance was not bad but it didn’t feel to match the story.

Larissa & Roman

Tempted by the Gargoyle is a delightful paranormal shapeshifter romance, with Gargoyle, Demons, witches, action, and adventure. What's not to like? The storyline and the characters are absolutely charming. Larissa Riley, a Cop and Roman, the Gargoyle Commander, have a powerful connection and sizzling chemistry.

Excellent narration by Kieran Flitton and Bridget Bordeaux. Both narrators portray the characters' personalities and emotions well, bringing them to life. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyable paranormal romance

This was an easy listen with complete story and happy ending. The interest started early and was maintained throughout the story with sufficient world building to feed the imagination, action and suspense and of course romance. The duel male/female narrator worked well and flowed easily adding to the story enjoyment.

Protect and serve

Lisa Carlisle you have made into a gargoyle fan. Let me explain, when reading books or watching movies the old gothic style, you see gargoyles on tops of old buildings, churches, etc., kind of ugly scary little guys, not big hunks of manliness! Well after listening to Kieran and Bridget tell us about Roman, (who is a gargoyle and head Stone security). You have added a new love to my list of favorite pn characters. Thank you for that can’t wait to listen to the rest of this trilogy.
