Great!

Love this story between Larissa, a cop, and Roman, an unknown gargoyle. Both have protection for others foremost in their minds when demons come to Boston. No cliffhanger and a HEA. Can’t wait to read the books in this series.

Larissa and Roman

This is the first book in a new series, which if this book is anything to go by is going to be a fun and enjoyable series.

Larissa is a cop who sometimes has a sense that something is going to happen before it does and she's usually right. She doesn't think that the Blood Moon is anything other than an unusual natural phenomenon. So on the evening of the Blood Moon, she and her best friend go out for a night of fun.

Roman is a gargoyle shifter he's the Commander of a team of Gargoyles who are stationed in Boston to protect the humans who live there. He has a feeling that something bad is going to happen during the Blood Moon, but what? His senses tell him that there is something different about Larissa but is she a threat or something else?

When these two meet the chemistry between them is palpable and the attraction mutual. But how will she react when she learns what he is or when he tells her what she is? Then the city comes under attack and she must accept and use her abilities to help Roman and his team save the city.

I liked both these characters, they were both strong, loyal and protective She's a strong woman and immensely protective. A wonderful paranormal romance, with plenty of tension in and out of the bedroom!

The narration of this book by Kieran Flitton and Bridget Bordeaux is so good adding a depth of feeling to this super enjoyable book.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Opposites Attract

This is the first book in the Stone Sentries Trilogy, a paranormal romance/urban fantasy. Larissa and Roman’s forbidden romance is steamy, fast-paced, entertaining, and suspenseful. Larissa, a police officer, is smart and strong. Roman, a Gargoyle, and commander of the Stone Sentries, is handsome and protective. They are opposites attract. They share an instant attraction, and a sizzling hot chemistry. The world building is interesting and intricate. The supporting characters are intriguing. Kieran Flitton and Bridget Bordeaux did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Enticed by the Gargoyle, the next book in the Series.

Gargoyles and Much more

Larissa and Roman

I have read the series! What a surprise when I started listening and realized I HAD NOT read this one. A wonderful story.

Larissa, a cop recovering from living through The Boston Marathon Bombing where not only so many people were injured and killed but one was her best friend. If her friend is brave enough with her remaining scars can go out and wants Larissa to come out she'll do it. Even if it is on the night of the eclipse of the moon. Cops know even full moons seem to bring out the weirdos.

Little did she know just how weird it was gonna get. Starting with her reaction to a hot guy. Roman reacted just as strong and as a human guardian gargoyle, it was his excuse to get close--really close.

The two were going to have a long night with danger she could never have imagined.

The world-building is amazing. Love the characters and narration. Five stars all the way.

Story is ok, performance is terrible

I have no idea why this book has two narrators. The man does a much better job than the woman. He should have been the only narrator. The female narrator sounds like a freshman dj at a college radio station - she’s cringeworthy and makes you want to change the channel.

The story was simple and cute. It was definitely hard to get into because of the bad narration. I still don’t understand why the demons attacked. It’s short enough you are probably better off trading it on kindle unlimited. But there are better books out there. Don’t waste your time.

Love This Book!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I had read this book about three years ago and loved it then, the audiobook did not disappoint!! Larissa is a Boston P.O. who has PTSD since her best friend Janie was injured in the Boston marathon bombing. Larissa can sometimes since when something is about to happen and she doesn't think that the Blood Moon is anything special and Janie insists they have a girls night out. Roman is a gargoyle shifter and he is the commander of the stone sentries and they protect the humans. He knew something was going to happen during the Blood Moon. When Roman and Larissa meet there is chemistry and attraction but both sense that something is wrong. Boston comes under attack, and Roman and Larissa must fight together to save the city. Narrators Kieran Flitton and Bridget Bordeaux does a great job with this story and the characters.

An Enticing Start To This PNR series

I found this to be an extremely enjoyable book and an enticing start to this series. It has a well developed story line and complex characters, this book quickly pulls you into this world and ensures that you are fully invested in the characters. This is a shifter series that offers a unique flair as the main focus is on gargoyle shifters. The hero and heroine, Roman and Larissa had amazing chemistry and for me I thought they matched perfectly. They had so many things in common but also some big differences, and for me that added a lot of depth and realism to their romance. In addition this PNR offers a solid cast of supporting characters, The story offers up plenty of drama, danger, intense emotions, action, suspense and a bit of heat. The narrators did an excellent job and I though their voices fit the characters well. As always I'm extremely appreciative of the dual narration.

New to me narrator in Kieran and I loved it!

Kieran Flitton is a new to me narrator and I loved his voice in this audio! It is the second audio I've listened to from Lisa Carlisle and Bridget Bordeaux. Bridget did much better on this one than the first one I listen to with her pacing and inflections. As with the other book, her accents were wonderful. I also loved Kieran's hint of an accent throughout. He has a great voice that lent itself very well to Roman and the gargoyle personality. Definitely looking forward to listening to more from him!
