Publisher's summary

When you spend your life battling death, who has time for love?

Dr. Ali Torveau knows just how fragile life can be - she sees death and tragedy every day in the trauma unit. Battling the dark forces of fate is her life's work and she doesn't want or need anything else, certainly nothing as transient as love. Plenty of women try to change her mind, but she never has any trouble saying no. Not until the day firefighter Beau Cross shows up in her ER and sets Ali’s carefully ordered world aflame.

Mixed bag

Story was good. Narration was flat. Probably better to read than to listen to this one.

worth it

Radclyffe will always get a 4 out of 5 stars with me. Two things that bother me; first, when a character is trying to talk about or explain a traumatic even in their lives the other character, instead, of just listening is always interrupting and replying their opinions. Second, could we have a longer ending once they make up! One thing that makes Radclyffe 4 out of 3 is the Narrator: Abby Craden your amazing!!

Radclyffe has done it again!

If you have a medical background and are a lesbian, you'll love Trauma Alert! Believe me, after reading this book, as well as her others that are based out of the Pa, you'll wish you could work in this hospital and become part of the family.

Captivating!!!

I read this book countless times and I never bored of it.
I’m glad I have the opportunity to get the audiobook and the performance is amazing.
The best first responders book.
Just relax and enjoy!

Poor narration

The narration did not capture the personalities or emotions of the characters or scenes. The intimate scenes were especially flat, considering how well written they were.

Hormones, Pheromones, Danger Zones

So you can’t decide between the doctor and the firefighter? Take them both.

In the trauma center of the hospital emotions are suppressed while lives are at stake, but the driven, uptight doctor and the hunky, butch firefighter are clearly attracted to each other, even as they drive each other crazy.

“Trauma Alert” is everything I love from Radclyffe: tension, admirable women, and romantic pay-off.

Narrator very disappointing after Honor Bound

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The woman narrating this book is very distracting to the story as she is not able to change her voice enough to give each character a distinct identity - it really takes away from the book.

"Awesome Story"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it is a wonderful story and I think people would really enjoy it.

What about Nicole Vilencia’s performance did you like?

She did an awesome job with the voices of the characters. When switching from one character to another she did a good job making each voice unique.

Any additional comments?

Trauma Alert was a very good book to listen to it keep me interested throughout the book. It had moments when I was laughing out loud at work because the funny moments were funny. It had times when it keep me on my toes because when it happened it happened. I can't wait for the 2nd book to come out and I hope it does soon.

Hot damn....

I’m a huge fan of Radcliffe. This did not disappoint. I will definitely listen to more. I saw many reviews complaining about the narrator.....I did not have an issue.
