Publisher's Summary

Zoey Cohen spent a lifetime learning to hide disappointment and loss behind a mask of unshakeable calm and control, even when her longtime friend-with-benefits lover moves on for true love.

Declan Black returns to Philadelphia Medical Center after an accident costs her the life she’d built and her career. She’s resolved to protect herself from ever being vulnerable to past mistakes by rebuilding her life around her new role as an ER attending, and that life does not include love.

Zoey will never accept second place in matters of the heart, even when her rival is a career, and Dec has nothing left to give - of herself or her heart. Sometimes change is a force more powerful than will.

Another excellent book of Radclyffe

I am always on the look out for a Radclyffe book, especially if it is a doctors’ book. And this one was as great as her other books. Loved it. Loved the main characters.
I would have loved though another narrator....

I loved the book, the audio was okay

I’ve loved this series, but this narrator just doesn’t work for me. I’m sure she lovely but the voices have changed from the first book to the last, so it lost some it’s flow for me.

Loved it!

This is a great addition to the PMC medical romance series. I recommend reading Fated Love and Passionate Rivals first because that’s where you’ll connect with a few of the supporting characters in this book. In addition, one of the main characters in this book is an important supporting character in Passionate Rivals. Radclyffe will forever have a special place in my heart b/c she wrote the very first sapphic romance I ever read. This author is a sure thing every time and the narration by Keira Grace was beautiful.

Narration sucks

Worst narration! Made it about 10 minutes before stopping. Intrigued about the storyline but can’t move past the narrator.

Another Cookie Cutter Classic.

I love Radclyfee but I really wish that she would do something more original. It's always the same. Two women with past issues, meet; they fight their attraction; get together for one night of great sex, then HEA. And lets not forget the cameos. Still, out of all the series that Radclyfee has done, the PMC series is my favorite so it'll never give it less than three stars no matter what.

Matters Of The Heart.

Zoey Cohen is starting her last year of medical school and it starts with a seven car accident with lots of victims. Declan Black has returned after a car accident cost her her life as a surgeon. She a new ER attending and spent a her first day managing the chaos of the ER. Neither Declan nor Zoey are open to matters of the heart but plans often go awry. Great performance and series.

Meh

This is my least favorite with the PMC crew. Slowwww slow burn, with lots of dry medical speak. Not sure if I'll keep reading this series, books are sounding repetitive.

won't buy due to narrator!!

For all the complaints about this narrator BSB still uses her, shows how much they give a sh!t about their customers! how many series will she ruin?! I was over it a year ago and stopped buying any books they have had her narrate, so far she has ruined the honor series, the PMC series, 2 or 3 of jenny frames series, 2 new Brooke Dunn books the list goes on and on... this narrator is ruining my audible/BSB life! thank God for Tantor and thank God Jenny Frame decided to care about her fans, unlike Rad, and kicked Grace to the curb!!!

The narrator ruined this for me. I love Radcliff d's books, but I wish that I had bought the ebook instead of the audio.
Had to stop 3/4 through, the narrator was not helping the story at all.

Definitely worth a credit and one I could listen a

Narrator was a little quick and high for my liking but slowed it to .95 and it was a good listen. Would've got a full 5 stars if Abby Craden was narrating. Well worth the credit.

Last Radclyffe I'll ever buy

I didn't even finish this book. The story was a tired repeat of the last 30 books Radclyffe has written. Perfectly perfect characters with sad pasts, dead exes and amazing abs falling in love within seconds of seeing each other but holding back because 'oh no I am too sad and broken to love or be loved'. Rad needs to consider changing the game because this is just not it anymore.

Didn't like the narrator either, she way she speaks just doesn't gel nicely with the ear and she has a strange lilt to her accent that makes it sound like she's reading a news story. Definitely wouldn't read anything by her again, sorry!

0/10 for everything from characters to plot to narration.

Couldn't finish it

I don't know if it was the authors syntax or the narrators reading style. Many times the POV would change characters and I would be confused because it wasn't immediately obvious. There was no chapter break or pause to indicate the change and the narrator didn't always alter their narration to reflect the different personalities.

Great Story

I really enjoyed the story and the characters, however this is a book I regret listening to and not reading instead. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into it as much as I would have because of the narrator. That being said, I still recommend it, if you can ignore some of the at time painful character voices.
