As she is transformed from a stoic and passive heiress to a happy and spirited woman, she realizes the similarities of her journey and that of Isabel's.

Like Isabel, is she destined to marry a man she doesn't love? Or will she find the strength that eluded Isabel and follow her heart?

O. M. Goodness…without a doubt, this is one of the most well written, well performed stories ever. The love that grows between the two main characters captures you from the very beginning and will hold your attention to the end.
Abby’s voice, as she reads the personal diary will probably make you cry. She performs it flawlessly, tears and all!
Thank you ladies for such an unforgettable and inspiring audio version.

A love story the spans across generations

A sweet slow burn of a story with layers provided by the timeless forbidden love of the women before overlayed by the growing love of the present day. Abby Craden brings the story to life as usual.

Absolutely LOVED this book

Well worth the read... the love story that's behind the book was unexpected and beyond heartwarming. I'm usually not a crier but the story broke me. So so sad, but I understood being the time it took place. I highly recommend this book. I will definitely will re-listen to this book.

Another great Gerri Hill book!

Loved this story & the characters! I read & listen to a lot of different lesbian writers, but Gerri Hill just always seems to go a little bit more in depth. She tells a story in a way you feel like you're there, like you know the characters & what they're experiencing. This story did not disappoint & as usual, Abby Craden just made it that much better!

Apples and Love

Gerri and Abby Craden go together like peanut butter and Jelly! You could see Izzy and Lorah in the past falling in love as do Maddie and Dylan. A must listen!

Did it again!

I love both Gerri hill and Abby Craden and I like the fact that it was a bit historical and set around the Orchards.

Beautiful Love Story

If you’ve not read this book. I highly recommend it! You will not be disappointed.

Refreshing characters and subject matter

I liked reading about a healthy, loving relationship, between two women. I cringed a bit every time Madeline’s voice became that of a 15 year old girl, when she was with Dillon. That really spoiled it for me. Wasn’t she 36? Still, I would recommend!
