Publisher's summary

Kelsey Brunel knows exactly what the future holds: She’ll one day inherit the Arizona dude ranch that has been in her family for three generations. She tells herself that the business and her good friends are all she’ll ever want or need. Long-term relationships aren’t in the picture, which, after witnessing the devastation of her parents’ failed marriage, is just fine with her.

Elizabeth Sutton has grown up proving to her family that she’s as capable and accomplished as they demand her to be, even if that means working for the family business. Her latest assignment—to turn a backwater ranch in Arizona into another link in their international chain of wellness centers—feels like a demotion and she can’t wait to get it done and escape back to civilization.

Two women from different worlds have nothing in common and every reason to wish they’d never met—except for the attraction neither can deny.

Wonderful and Heartwarming

I liked the ranch and would like to be there from the vivid description. The story line reinforces the concept that you will never know your true love could come into your life at any point.

Great Story

First I liked the juxtaposition of the two main characters Ranch woman vs, City woman. I enjoyed the descriptions of the landscapes and sunsets as I have visited the area and the authors seem to have it right.

The internal struggle and family dynamics are really developed in the story. it reminds me a bit of Joseph Campbell's hero's journey. can't say too much about that as it gives it away.

One of our Heroine's Journey begins in an office in the city under the watchful eye of her father and a scheming office worker. The other on the ranch that is old out fro under her, and she is mad as hell.

Can they come to terms or take slugs frone one another. Read and see.

My first ride into LGBTQ reading and really enjoyed it.

Very good book!

Is this going to be a series partnership between Julie Cannon and Radclyffe? I sincerely hope so! It’s the perfect setting!

These two authors on their own right are excellent! In partnership they are awesome! The plot development was excellent. Although I have never seen such horrible parenting for Kelsie and Elizabeth! The two main characters were wonderful! The supporting characters were equally good. Paige McKinney as the narrator was excellent!

I hope there’ll be more books for this series!

Pretty bad so far

Ok so I’m several chapters in and it’s not the enjoyable kind of bad. We’re supposed to believe this high maintenance executive doesn’t have status with a car rental company and bothers to check her bags? Please, you know someone shipped her stuff and even I can bypass the counter at Hertz. And she’s so hard working in the hospitality world but has never heard of a dude ranch and doesn’t know how expensive ranch resorts are?

This is contrived with bad dialogue and I am bored.

Narrator is fine but might be making everyone sound a little whiny.

Lots of sexual descriptions

The narrator sometimes was a little too demonstrative for me.
The story seemed lacking in depth.
I’m at Chap 30 and intend to finish but at this point I doubt I will revisit this one.
