Totally Different in a very good way

it's... not a parody, and almost not even a novel. more a collection of short stories that just flow into each other? A heck of a ride all the way through, even if the modern speech patterns are hard to swallow at first. Definitely worth your time if you want something new and different from fantasy.

stupid title, great book

funny and witty, once you ignore the unfortunate title the story is fantastic and the characters engaging

A delightful addition to the genre.

Fun read, sophomoric but entertaining. The humor is well placed and the dialogue is what you would expect from a good game of dnd.

Loved this book!!

this book wasn't your average science fantasy book. it had lots of different twists and turns and was very fun to read. I hope the second book follows quickly. I recommend this book if you read a lot of science fantasy as it kind of turns a corner on the genre.

Meh

This is YA and I basically almost fought through because apparently I've returned too many times in a certain time frame....not like I don't purchase 3 credits all the time but, whatever.

I never finished this story as in the fantasy world that has been created one of the most human, American, non fantasy objects and scene was painted right where it made 0 sense. That was it for me.

Awesome Combination

Amazing blend of humour and fantasy by Virlyce, and truely brought to life by Mare Trevathan in an amazing performance I can't recommend it enough.

A Fun Series of Humorous Adventures!

The Blue Mage Raised by Dragons is less a story with a beginning, middle and end and more a series of stories that amount to one of the most hilarious coming of age stories I've ever read. The characters, and I mean all the characters, are written in such a way as to keep the audience laughing from start to finish. The book can be more slice of life comedy than action adventure most of the time. Though every once in awhile there are some interesting fights. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comedy spoof of typical fantasy adventure novels.

Hilarious

I have to say that this is one of the funniest books I’ve read in a long time.
I’d say that if you like The Princess Bride, then this book is for you.
