Surprisingly Good

I'll just say I'm a big introvert so it's hard relating or seeing myself in Broccoli's shoes with her personality but I found myself enjoying it even if it was a more light hearted story in a fantasy world. I went into this and was very afraid of how Broccoli would react to fights and Im happy to say that when pushed into a fight she wouldn't backdown and let herself get beat. she has her issues like any character like constantly asking every enemy to be friends but it mostly worked out for some of the fights. overall I enjoyed the story

Fun light-hearted adventure

So, it's a little more lighthearted than I normally like, but decided to give it a try. This is a very lighthearted book. No real suspense or danger, but a fun journey in a new place for broccoli bunch. Kind of a pallet cleansing story. It honestly just reminds me of a PG rated anime. Which is fitting because the narrator is an English voice actor for a bunch of anime shows. Lol. Reba buhr does a great job of pulling you into the story. Many narrator's just read the story while doing a few different voices to differentiate the different characters while She brings the characters to life. Like listening to an anime.

Reba Buhr was the PERFECT voice choice for Cinnamon Bun.

I love the story, but I will admit that it isn't going to be for everyone or for every mood. The MC, Broccoli Bunch, is one of those unquenchable optimists and nice extroverts that irl I would only be able to handle in small doses, but makes for an interesting character to follow. Fortunately, the author is WHOLLY aware of how... "overwhlming" a personality Broccoli has and makes a point of having many characters being a bit exhausted by her. This made this book entirely digestible, imo.

Broccoli tends to approach problems in a "ask to be friends first, violence as a last resort" manner, which is interesting as both the we the reader and the inhabitants of the world expect to face these situations with combat.

It is a lot of energy, and a bit exhausting how insanely upbeat Broccoli is, but I would still highly recommend this book.

I would love to see more adventures with Broccoli and Amaryllis. Love the story line and all the adventures.

best narration ever

book is really fun, people were complaining about the mc's naivete but I think it's overblown. I would also try to make friends with everything i saw in this situation. narration is out of this world. voices, accents, emotions. probably the best I've heard
