Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

Montana Mail Order Brides
I am so sad to see this series end but I love the way it ended. This has been such enjoyable listening and the final update to modern day family members was a very nice and interesting way to end such a delightful series.

Delightful
The end to a delightful series is always had when you do not want to leave the characters behind, There are still so much to leave from this family. I have to say the ending was wonderful, and I loved how they came back and let us know who each character life played out. This was truly a delightful series that I have loved. The stories were interesting and make you want to go to this town and meet the people and see the town. It is a sweet clean romance filled with smiles, laughs, heart break and passion. I really enjoyed them
I really enjoyed the narrators I thought they did a wonderful job bring the story to life, with wonderful character voices, with true emotion, you always knew who was taking, and what they were feeling. They really bought the story and characters a live for me. It was so easy to picture the story as it was unfolded, I felt like I was there seeing it with my own eyes. There were no repeating of words, no breaks were taken that I could tell, no background noise, no volume changes. Just a truly wonderful delightful story that I got lost in.
I have really enjoyed this series, stories that held my attention. I thought the author really delivered true emotions that really touched your heart. There were times I had to chuckle and other times I was sad. I like how the mail order isn't always true mail order or things do not work out for the ones that wrote to each other. Which made me feel more like this was true and not just a made up story. I truly will miss these characters and will listen to the series again.

I can’t believe it’s over!
I have laughed and cried and everything in between. I read the series before and was so excited to get to hear it read. I was transported back into Dawson and feel like I’m apart of their family. This series is one you don’t want to miss!!

BEST MAIL ORDER BRIDE SERIES EVER
Reading these books made me go back and look up history for the times. As a history person, these romance books made me glad to see Native Americans and blacks put in a better light than what our "history books" have. There is good and bad in every culture. Linda has shown how people can get along if they just but their minds to it. Loved the ending of what happened to the families. Awesome reads.

Amazing
If I wanted to say everything about how wonderful this series has been, I would go on forever. I have laughed and cried and feel these stories have become a part of my life. The most amazing revelation though is that it is based on real people and families that I did not realize until the end... Yes it makes me want to cry even more.. To imagine being a descendant and able to see the history and relive it is beyond imagination.
I think I fell in love with almost every family member and with Chief Black Fox to wrap up the last story pulled it all together. I kept picturing him in my mind and he is larger than life..
If you have not read or listened, you are missing something awe inspiring and with J Scott Bennett telling the last story, I know these will remain in my heart forever.. Thank you Linda Bridey for providing these for free and for hours and hours of heartfelt tales that have touched my life.

great storyline.
Sad for the series to end. I like how you intertwined all the characters from previous books in the series into each new. Really made you feel like you were seeing it and feel like you are part of it.
Thanks for a special 2 weeks.

All 23 books are enjoyable
All books can be a Stand alone story. Still I recommend going in order and enjoying each and every single of the stories of a town pre 1900. All they are related to each other and you will listen to each family’s history from almost the beginning, to literally the end of it.

Excellent
I loved all the history! I didn’t want the last of the history to end! I hope it was written on fact instead of fiction. Although I do know that a lot of fiction throughout the series had to be. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story!

A wonderful set of books
I have loved reading all this series of books. I’m almost sorry to see the end. I myself am from Montana, so it has been a great help to me ,as due to health problem s I am not able to be there now. But these books have taken me home when I am so sad. Thank you for them. I look forward to finding similar books.
