Publisher's summary

Two single parents and three adorable kids are about to have a summer they'll never forget in this sexy, heartwarming new novel of the New York Times best-selling series.

Following the sudden death of his wife, Nathan Bell spent nearly two years burying himself in work and neglecting his biggest responsibility: his daughter. Overcome with guilt, he wants to connect with little Marley, but he doesn't know how to do it alone. And then Jenna Savage throws him a lifeline.

A single mom of twins, Jenna is more than capable of taking care of Nathan's adorable two-year-old and wants to help Nathan however she can. As the days go by and her attraction to Nathan grows, she can't help wondering what might happen if they became a family for real. And the closer everyone becomes, the more right it feels.

Falling in love forces Nathan to face his biggest fear, and when hearts - both big and little - are on the line, the only thing scarier than needing Jenna and her kids so much is losing them all.

"Hit the Spot has everything I love in romance: off-the-charts hotness, witty banter, emotional intensity and enough sexual tension to cause spontaneous combustion. I sure wouldn't mind riding Jamie McCade's wave." (Helena Hunting, New York Times best-selling author)

Story about blending families

Ya know how usually when a couple finally get together in a book the next word is…. Epilogue…. Well, this book is about the ups and downs of bringing two families together and healing each other. This book won’t make my top 3 list but I listened to the whole thing at 1.4 speed- I didn’t feel like there was a ton of filler- and I laughed and cried. My first book from this author and I’ll give them a chance again.

This book is EVERYTHING from beginning to end...

You ever anticipate a book so much that you hesitate to read it because you know that will mean it’s over? Just me? That’s how I felt about Down Too Deep. I’ve wanted Nate’s story ever since he was introduced in her Dirty Deeds series - I preorder the book as soon as I saw that it was available but i just couldn’t start the book because I was already dreading its end. I’m happy to say that the fear was well founded because I began to miss Nathan, Jenna, and their children as soon as the last word was read. This book was EVERYTHING from beginning to end. To witness Nathan’s struggles and grief and guilt and see how Jenna’s light and love and optimism and real-ness resuscitates him is a moving experience. This book is the epitome of why I live to read. While I’m usually a fan of series that heavily feature characters from previous books, the fact that the couples from the first 3 books are only factored in this briefly was a perfect choice by J. Daniels. Making Nathan, Jenna, and the children the heart and soul of this story made it that much more special. As emotionally gripping as Bad For You is, I have to admit that as a former single mom (and just as the person that I am) Down Too Deep is my favorite book of the series. In fact, it may even be my favorite book by J. Daniels yet... 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Emotional roller coaster

Down Too Deep is a beautiful story of loss, grief, losing and grieving a loved one and finding love again. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, cried, rejoiced in the love Nate and Jenna found in each other. This series is an absolute delight, so glad I bought the books because I enjoyed them.

Simply amazing!

I have loved Jenna & Nate since they appeared in the first Dirty Deeds book. I’m am absolutely ecstatic that these two amazing characters found their HEA together! The narrators did a fantastic job & I will most definitely find more books that they have narrated.

Review: Dirty Deeds 4: Down Too Deep

Down Too Deep by J. Daniels is the fourth book in her Dirty Deeds series. Emotional and slightly heartbreaking in places this book was absolutely phenomenal. Wonderful main characters, wonderful secondary characters. The premise of the story is really well crafted. From the introduction to Nathan's character and his parents to meeting Jenna and her kids. I loved every page and practically devoured this book. Super sexy and so amazingly sweet yet with enough drama between the two main characters that you want to also maybe get a little violent with them. Enjoy!

The audio narration was like honey and silk. An absolute pleasure for the ears. Both Holly and Jean-Paul brought the characters to life and did a wonderful job.

3.5 Stars

I was sent this book from the publisher/publicity team. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review. “Two single parents. Three little kids. One summer they’ll never forget.” This is a story following Jenna and Nate, both single parents. I really enjoyed their romance. We really get to know them both as we see Nate learning how to move on after the loss of his wife. Nate and Jenna really develop a friendship as their romance continued to blossom. They were both just great people. They were sweet and really gave each other what they needed. I knew this was following two single parents going in. I really enjoyed the kids being apart of the story. They were such a big part of everything and just brought that extra Ahhh moments that I needed. My favorite parts included the kids. This does deal with some triggering issues such as suicide and abandonment, but they are not at the forefront of the story. Overall, a super cute romance.

Amazing

This was such an amazing listen. Its pathetic how much I cried. Damn You J. Daniels! You've made me cry again! And to make me laugh while I was crying....damn sneaky move!

The performances of the narrators were exceptional! I'm now a new fan of both and will be looking into their other works.

Just get the damn book! Soooooo worth the credit!
