The Team Owner with a Heart of Gold

I couldn't wait to get my hands on Dominik's story. The enigmatic team owner with a heart of gold has intrigued me from the start of the Arizona Vengeance series. I loved finally getting into his head and finding out more about his past. This is book 6 in the series, but can be read as a standalone. Previous couples and characters do appear, however, so the book would best be enjoyed in order.

The back and forth between Dominik and Willow was great and I really enjoyed the chase. Both are very sexually open and free and I appreciated that the author celebrated this. Dominik and Willow had fantastic chemistry and I loved that once they enter into their arrangement, they only have eyes for each other. Yes, there's the inevitable push away as things develop into more (which honestly made me want to smack some sense into the characters), but I loved how much they truly saw the other. I enjoyed this one a lot, but did wish for more exploration into Dominik and Willow's relationship.

I loved the casting for this audiobook! Erin Mallon was wonderful as Willow and Christian Fox couldn't have been more perfect as Dominik. He was just the right amount of alpha and cocky, but also sweet and vulnerable. His voice was so smooth and sexy. I sadly haven't listened to many titles narrated by Christian Fox, but that definitely has to change!

The book told Dominik and Willow's story, but in many ways it also felt like a big Arizona Vengeance hug. The previous couples and characters make numerous appearances and play an integral part in the story. Even if you haven't read/listened to those books, the author does an excellent job getting you up to speed so that you can appreciate the camaraderie and friendship between these characters. I especially loved the surprise cross-overs between Sawyer Bennett's other worlds and how it tied everyone together. The stage is now set for Wylde to take a huge fall (into love) in the next book and I can't wait!

Another Great Arizona Vengeance..

I enjoyed watching a hockey player, a sister, a wife And a owner converge after DAX.
The blending were wonderfully done.
Even as a standalone story, DOMINIK is great continuation of DAX.
I have yet to finish the rest of the series, however there are some things to be known...
The chemistry between Dominik and Willow is outstanding!
A chance encounter at the Arizona Vengeance's initiation of the new and younger teammates, where Dominik (the Arizona Vengeance owner) decides to join his team is where he meets Willow.
Willow is a Photojournalist, who travels to the hardest, war-torn countries of the world. So when she and Dominik hook up for casual sex, neither of them think it will become anything more.
This story is full of stubborn challenges between the two, Willow's thought of betrayal, fears and phenomenal sex and in between, a year or two.
I couldn't put this book down!
I chose to read with hearing wonderful narration of two narrators I have not heard before. Extremely impressed.
Definatley worth the purchase.
Thank you Sawyer for another great story!!

Terrible female character

Grew to love Dominik - his struggle/path to success, his loyalty to his team, his integrity. On the other hand, the more Willow’s character develops, the more I dislike her. She claims to be independent and strong but turned out to be spiteful and immature. Wish Dominik had walked away this dumpster fire of a woman. Wasted of Erin Mallon’s talent narrating such an awful character. Hopefully the next book will be better but am beginning to doubt this author…

Excellent read!

This was a fantastic book with yummy characters. I’m loving this series and the author’s commitment to carrying on the storylines of the people we’ve come to love. This series is one to read again and again!

Amazing Narration made this

Both Erin Mallon and Christian Fox made this book infinitely better. Both characters were a bit off-putting and difficult to emphasize with and I think I wouldn’t have finished this book if I would have simply read it.

And as an aside - is Christian Fox still narrating audiobooks? It looks like he hasn’t narrated anything in over a year!

Heart of GOLD!!!!

I couldn’t wait to listen to Dominik’s book. He’s always doing things to improve the lives of the people around him. The things he’s done in the previous books for the players on his team showed he wasn’t a normal owner of a team. He’s a great guy. Wanting a chance with Willow who is super skittish. She’s been hurt before. She wants fun, no strings kind of hookups. It’s all fine at the start but Dominik is not having it. He takes chances on her and puts all his cards on the table….. such a great story and now onto the next one. The narration was excellent. I love Christian Fox!!

Christian Fox was perfect for Dominik!

This series could end with this one, and I'd be fine. I will continue this series, but I can say now that Dominik Carlson is my favorite. He's the super-alpha owner of the Arizona Vengeance. Swoon and sploosh!!

When Dominik sets his sights on Willow Monahan--sister to one of his players--she doesn't stand a chance. Like the shrewd businessman he is, he studies Willow, and approaches her as he would an adversary in business. Using slightly different tactics, of course. He knows that Willow is different, but he's not thinking long-term.

Willow is the independent world-traveling photojournalist. She doesn't have time for relationships, so she has her hookups when the need arises. Obviously, she's attracted to Dominik, and they've had some great times between the sheets. But that's where it ends. She has no intention of putting her heart out there.

I love how Dominik and Willow enjoy each other's company, and slowly realize their feelings growing stronger--as much as they may fight it. A beautifully hot, and sometimes sweet storytelling of two very strong personalities.

Christian Fox was the perfect narrator for Dominik; I don't think anyone else could have done a better job. Erin Mallon was also great w/her narration, as well.

Love this

I had forgotten how much I enjoy Christian Fox’s narrations. Erin Mallon is good, as always, but Christian’s performance shines. His intuitive pacing and inflection brings Dominik to life in a way I never could by just reading the ebook. I’m so glad I decided to get the audiobook instead.

Dominik

I like how persistent Dominik was, he listened and learned what Willow needed. And she really does open herself up and explained why she was so standoffish.

It was a great addition to the series but I could have done without the drama at the end for a man who talked everything else out he wouldn’t hear her out. Its ok for him to be persistent but it wasn’t ok for her.

But overall it was a good story. I enjoyed the narration especially Erin’s parts.

A Winning Team!

Wow! What can I say? This is the instalment of the series I didn't realise I was desperate for!! Dominik, uber-wealthy, kind-hearted Vengeance owner works hard and plays even harder! His good looks, charm and generosity have the ladies falling at his feet! Well.. apart from Willow Monahan! Her good looks, independents, lack of neediness and commitment to her work has him flummoxed! It's not just the challenge, as this is not a game Dominik's use to! This roller coaster ride is epic!
Christian Fox and Erin Mallon, once again bring the characters to life! What a duo!
All though this can be read as a stand-alone, it's so much more enjoyable when read in order! A 5 star listen all the way!

An Amazing Hockey Series

Another quick but no less enjoyable story in the Arizona Vengeance series.

After Tacker's story, which I had been desperate to read, I wasn't sure if another story would hold my interest but after being teased about Dominik and Willow's interactions, I knew reading on was not an option!

Willow was a really intriguing character especially as she appears to be the only woman to be not interested in Dominik or his good looks, wealth, success and charismatic ways. Willow's reticence to have anything other than the odd one night stand with Dominik perplexes him and the more Willow ignores him, the more he chases after her.

Being a photojournalist and travelling to some of the most dangerous places on earth, Willow lives her life on a knife-edge but when she returns home to the US, she agrees to meet up with Dominik again. However, Willow has one thing on her mind and that's the opposite of what Dominik wants from her.

With Willow back on home soil, Dominik knows this is his only chance to win her over but when he finds out she has been badly burned in a relationship before he accepts that in order to make her fall for him he must take his time. That is until he doesn't!

I really enjoyed Willow and Dominik's connection and I must admit to being a sucker for Dominik all through this series. I became slightly irritated when Dominik's willingness to take his time with Willow did an about-turn but even then, with emotion and passion driving him forward and in the heat of the moment, he does the opposite of his intentions but in such a sweet way. Fortunately, Willow finds herself in a situation which makes her re-evaluate her life and Dominik is able to fly in to save the day.

This is the first story in this series that I've listened to via Audible and whilst the experience was enjoyable, I think I prefer reading these stories at my own pace. The narrators, whilst clearly experienced, seemed to rush through their words and were almost gabbling at times. Even slowing down the talking speed didn't help, sadly.

I am so pleased to see that there is yet another book planned in this amazing series as I am in no way ready to be done with the Arizona Vengeance.

swoon!

I knew when we met Dominik in earlier books in the series I was going to love him and I wasn't disappointed. He was definitely alpha but also sweet and kind. The perfect package. Willow was stubborn extremely so and a little irritating if I'm honest.The way she treated Dominik towards the end of the book was so frustrating, I wanted to just smack her to bring her to her senses. Thankfully everything turned out fine in the end. Again perfect narration.

Thoroughly enjoyed Dominik and Willow's story, very likeable both of them and good to catch up with the other boys again!

I've been wanting this book from the beginning

Woot! Another Sawyer Bennett hockey hottie to add to my collection!

Though this time it is team owner Dominik Carlson who is after my hockey loving heart.

I have been wanting his story almost as much as I wanted Tacker Hall's - and I wanted Tacker's book a lot.

I knew Dominik and Willow's story was going to be a fun one.

Erin Mallon (my FAV female narrator) and Christian Fox brought our lovelies to life. I enjoyed reading the story, but having Dominik's thoughts in my hears made it so much more enjoyable.

If you have read the previous books, especially Tacker you would know that Dominik has been chasing Willow Monahan - Dax's sister - for a while, and it has been fun seeing him try and striking out.

I adore Willow. Strong and independant and takes no crap from anybody. I want to be her friend.

There is a delicious push/pull between our lovelies - Dominik wants to pull her closer, Willow keeps pushing him away. You know that things are going to be explosive if they ever get together

Do they ever get there? You will have to read to find out!

I loved seeing more of the Vengeance guys and their lovely ladies, and it was sweet to see a little of the Cold Fury - I miss them all!

Now I need Wylde's story, stat.

Sexy addictive sports romance

Dominik has been my most anticipated Arizona Vengeance book boyfriend to date, and no! Not because he’s a multi millionaire (whoops sorry billionaire), no, because under his tough playboy exterior, he has a heart of gold, he’s caring and generous with his employees and team. All this is confirmed upon reading his story. I also found out he’s a god in bed, and after devouring every word in this addictive, sexy, action packed (it is the run for the coveted Stanley Cup after all) romance, I think I have to say he has earned the position of my most favourite. He’s a go-getter, and Willow Monaghan, is what he wants, he’s made that blatantly obvious. He says it as it is, and he’s sexy as all hell. He just needs to get Willow on the same page, and he’s got his work cut out for him. What a story, we get to meet a whole host of Sawyer Bennett’s previous heroes, and let’s not forget the heroine, from previous stories, and I’m not just talking hockey. A super favourite five star read for me, I was addicted from the first page, such an entertaining story, the hockey was front and centre, but a whole host of other things were happening alongside. What a wonderful couple Willow and Dominik could be if they just took that leap. I was desperate for Willow to see exactly what was in front of her. Team Dominik right here. The audio version is more than perfect - with two of my favourite reviewers, Christian Fox and Erin Mallon, they are the best Dominik and Willow I could have asked for. I did not want this audio to end.
