Publisher's summary

From Dirty Blood:

I killed a girl last night.

I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that's not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can't seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted - and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws.

But, by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again.

That's about the time I went into shock. And that was the moment he showed up.

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, werewolves do exist. And two, I was born to kill them.

Get hooked on werewolves in a way you've never seen them before! This version contains the first four audiobooks in the best-selling Dirty Blood series.

Follow Tara's journey through the world of werewolves and hunters from the beginning!

Binge worthy series

Narrator is fine. I listened to her at a faster pace and found the book enjoyable. I thought she did a good job portraying the female and male voices.
I enjoyed binging on all 4 books and have come to love several of the other characters. If you love werewolves and hunters with a bit of a love triangle then this series is for you. I enjoyed some of the fighting scenes as well. Now I’m off to look to see if the 5th audiobook is available.

Terrible main character

I really struggled to finish this. Tara really wants to be treated like an adult with the accompanying responsibilities, but acts like an immature and spoiled brat. She doesn't think things through and there are crappy consequences for everyone else.
The narrators voices and attitudes of the characters is terrible. Cambria sounds like an air-headed valley girl with no brains.
The characters are not very well developed. They stay the same and never mature.
I won't read the rest of the series.

The love the bass of the story but hate how it all played out

I want to start off by saying how awesome the series concept was, however if I knew everything I know now I wouldn’t have listened to the book at all. I wholeheartedly disagree with all the choices the “adults” made in how they went about protecting the main character. All the lying and backstabbing was giving me the worst headache. I honestly don’t want to discourage anyone from listening to the book series because it isn’t an awful series but if you hate when the main character is constantly being asked to lead people while simultaneously being put in a protected bubble wrap of ignorance by these same people through out all four books and I do mean All Four Books!!! Then I suggest you don’t even waste your precious time.

Good listen.

it's a good book if you can get past how the main character always sounds like she is whining.

McKenzie Hunter's Sky Brooks series meets Twiligh.

Update:. Book two had the predictable dating drama I predicted, but it actually got good at the end and left me looking forward to book three. So I'm giving the story 4 stars for now. And the narator is either getting more fluid or I'm getting used to her.

If the brief amount of erotic thoughts were cut out, this series would make a prety good kids book. Then I would give it five stars instead of thee. The story is too predictable. In book one, it was easy to tell they were both going to have the same predicaments (trying not to spoil it totally). Right now I'm several hours into the second book and I can tell the author has set it up for the boyfriend at home to get jealous over one of the two boys that are being nice to her at school, and she's already starting to get confused. Even though we all now she will end up with her soul mate at home. I have only read one book where the author didn't use this same jealous scenario, and I left her a very jenous compliment on her Facebook page because I enjoyed reading a book that didn't follow the romantic stereotype. I'll change my review later if I'm wrong about the jealous boyfriend prediction. The narator takes getting used to. She tries to pronounce every word perfectly and it comes of sounding a bit choppy. Reminds me of listening to the chipmunks. The narator also has a hard time having unique voices for each character. If the narator is new, then I guess she's doing ok and will get better. I'll try to remember to update this when finally finish the series.

Addicting

Wow this series is addicting!! Lucky for me i received this boxset in audio format so i could listen to it almost non stop cause i couldn't put it down and had to know what happened next. This was such a good read. This series is well written and flows flawlessly from one book to the next.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and i am leaving an honest and voluntarily review.

This book is more for teens

Interested story but it was obvious where and what the main character will go and do.

Interesting twist on classic werewolf "condition" and storyline

Werewolves vs hunters. No other paranormal types (at least thru book4).

Minimal digression into intimacy yet lots of interwoven relationship issues.

Overall good. Really feel the protagonist has a genuine reaction in learning werewolves are real and stumbling from one urgency into the next. Always kept in the dark but charging ahead with what she knows at the time and doing what she feels is right.

Good series bad ending

Other than how the book ends I really liked this series. Kelly Pruner did an awesome job telling the story.
