Publisher's summary

Detective Hannah Shor is desperate to prove her worth to her superiors - and herself. When a middle-aged man is found stabbed to death in his apartment, she might just get her chance. But then she finds that the deceased was a vile Internet troll, sexually harassing women on Twitter. Hannah starts wondering if she really wants to catch his killer.

And the night is far from over. Only several hours later, a young woman is strangled to death. Detective Jacob Cooper discovers that the victim was lost in her own virtual world - a recluse who spent all day sucked into a violent online role-playing game. To find the murderer, Jacob might have to step into the game.

Now Hannah will have to push aside her qualms, and Jacob will have to find a way to overcome his technophobia if they want to crack the cases. Their search will take them into the seedier parts of the Internet and uncover shocking secrets as they attempt to expose a killer.

Not a very good book.

Talky, talky, talky.
Not much action.
The plot did not hold together very well.
This is one of Omer’s weakest books.

Not Bad

Not bad, but not his best work in my opinion. Hannah & Bernard are very good characters, but the rest I found kind of all over the place, too many main characters made it a little hard to follow for an audible. Overall it was okay, I already bought the 3 book series so I hope the next one is a bit better and easier too follow.

Interesting mysteries

The mysteries here are decent but kind of lacking when compared to the other two in the series. Still Omer is an excellent writer and the narration is top notch.

Brilliant as Always!

Mike Omer has become my favourite crime fiction writer. And Eric Martin is a perfect narrator. This book - and the entire Glenmore Park series - are well worth your time and money!

Not exciting

I finished it but it was a struggle. Not a very exciting murder story. Would not recommend.

OK story - not as good as the first in series

I liked the two parallel cases but the book didn't really have any intrinsic urgency to solve the cases. The first in the series had a much more interesting crime and criminal. I hope the 3rd book is better.

Omer Rocks

Omer is one of my favorite authors. But this time the story just wasn't as good as usual. Disappointed that Zowy Bentley and her partner were not in this one. still a good read. Went very quickly
the narrator was excellent

Good not great

This was a decent bridge book. Not overly gripping or anything but not bad either. The narrator is good, love his voice which makes a huge difference in listening to a book for me.
