Good story

Another good Vienna story. Love is all around but which one will she choose. This one has a little mystery mixed with just enough romance. Good read

Good Read

Cheating Heart: A Vienna Rossi Paranormal Mystery was a good read by Michelle Ann Hollstein. Vienna's best friend convinces her to take a weekend getaway to clear her head after all the craziness in her life. While away, she finds a lost soul that is in need of help. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Awesome book

Cheating Heart is a book that has a believable storyline. I love the quirky characters and the anger that goes on between them. The story flows perfectly into the plot. I can't wait to read more from this author. I am hooked on these books. The only thing that threw me was the narrator she just didn't fit this particular book. I received this review copy at my request. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Fun story but narration is hit and miss.....

I loved the story and it kept me at my seat's age, just wanting more!
I do have mixed feelings about the narrator, so for those who are picky be warned that she may bother some. Her voice is very child-like which I thought would really bug me, but it is very pleasant. She does a great job with distinct voices, but a few things are kind of annoying about her narration. The men all sound kind of fake. Also a lot of the female characters have that bratty, sort of 'valley girl' tone that can be a little annoying. Also at times, she is a little overly dramatic - feels a little like overacting to me.
Note: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

A great easy and distracting story

As a light hearted book, this was awesome. Some action, some confusion on heart issues, not to mention the confusion inherent with a spirit guide showing up on her dates. It often times was hilarious and horrifying as you thought back to your own dating experience and how horrifying it would be for another heartthrob popping in.

The freakish lost soul in need of her help was scary to say the least. Yet she valiantly assists him as she struggled with bringing order to the small bits and pieces he reveals.

A great book that is easy to get through without straining your brain to keep up with a complicated storyline.

Stephanie did a good job with narrating this book!

It gets better and better!

I love this Siri’s, A young 20 something learns how to use her psychic visions to benefit others. With the help of her supernatural friend Jack and her real life best friend Kim she navigates being an adult and an over emotional psychic. This is a great book that I recommend to anyone it was so cute and funny and also very meaningful I love Vianna Rossy Mysteries!

Paranormal Creepiness!

So I am loving this series..Vienna annoys me at times because I want her to be quicker, tougher, and not so hmm...slow to figure things out...I want HER to figure out what's going on before I do...lol. My favorite character in this series is Kim. She is vibrant and refreshing, game for anything, and so positive. This story left me feeling so sad for the spirit... he creeped me out for awhile there! Narration...not so much. This narrator made both Vienna and Kimberly sound SO whiney...that squeakiness in the voices was terrible. I envision Kimberly as a 16 year old gum popping cheerleader.. and both Steve and James to be air headed dumb as dirt types. Especially poor Steve.. The storyline is FANTASTIC..and I will keep on reading them for sure...overall I LOVED IT!

Cheating heart.

This book was okay for me. I got mad at the whole ghost loving human thing, there is going to have to be away for them to be together at some point. It did get dark at some points but to see things come to light was amazing!

Another good listen

Another good listen. Poor Jack, the spirit guide, has a difficult time. A challenge for Vienna and her love life kept me entertained. I recommend it.

Not much mystery

I have either read or listened to several books in the 'Aggie Underhill mystery' series by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed them, so when I saw this book in a different series I was anticipating something just as good.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed, this is sold as a paranormal mystery, I think that this is really misleading. The first 4.5 hours of the book contain only passing references to the paranormal by mentioning Vienna's spirit guide, Jack, the rest of this section is devoted to the rather melodramatic descriptions of Vienna's love life, she dates two men in quick succession, and of course both of them are drop dead gorgeous with dreamy eyes and so on, in fact all the men except one in the book are 'dreamy' I felt that this part of the book was like a rather cheesy young adult novel.

It was only really in the last hour of the five hours 20 minutes that there was any sort of mystery, and even that I found really disappointing and very superficial. There was more about Vienna and Jack's love for each other than there was about the poor lost soul who was manifesting as a ghost.

The narration was ok, although I thought that the way that Stephanie Quinn voiced the male characters was really odd, in my opinion she would have been far better off just reading all the characters in the same voice.

I need to say now that I really don't like writing reviews like this, but equally I think that it is important to be honest, others may love this book, but I'm afraid that it just wasn't for me, and I can only reflect my own opinions.

Okay Story,

Title: Cheating Heart
Author: Michelle Ann Hollstein
Format: Audio
Narrator: Stephanie Quinn
Genre: Paranormal mystery with a touch of romance, ghosts
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 3 of A Vienna Rossi Paranormal Mystery
POV: Multiple
Steam Level: None
3.5/5

Cheating Heart is the final book in the Vienna Rossi Paranormal Mystery. While a standalone I recommend reading the other books in the series first. Overall this story was okay. I still find the characters annoying but it may be due to the narration, rather than the characters themselves.

I received this audiobook for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Another Great Cozy!

I listened to the first book in this series and really liked the characters. Book 2 wasn't available yet so I listened to 1 and then 3. Can be listened to as a standalone but there are small details we learn about Vienna and her crew that help make the story make more sense and help us get more attached as listeners. I like the author's style and was intrigued throughout. A super cute story!

I thought the narrator did a great job in this performance and represented the characters well.
I'm not a huge fan of narrator changes for series, regardless of how much better or worse the second narrator is than the first. This narrator gives just as good a performance, it's just a personal preference to not have narration changes for series with the same characters in every book.

Cheating Heart

Vienna and Kim are trying to have a little down romantic time before another ghost demands attention. But then Jack pops in and its time for business. This one is a bit different than book 1 in the series. Vienna was very take charge, but she seems to be more worried about dating in this one. Of course being that age what young girl is not. I loved the information about her lifeline already being in place. It adds a great back story! Stephanie does a nice job with the narration.
