Enraptured

Suspenseful mystery with a side of bdsm. How far would you go to find your best friend. That’s the question Hope has to answer. For Hope that means wading into the world of bdsm. I loved this and didn’t want to stop listening. It has a great dual narration.

great book

This was a fast paced, well written, steamy, heart palpitation inducing story that made me both laugh and cry.

I listened to it at 1.8x speed.

Fantastic!

This is a dynamite story of BDSM with the tale of the sex traffic scene that goes on everywhere. The narrators were wonderful! They will keep your interest with their voices.

Moving!

There is so much to say about this book I’m not sure where to start. What I thought was going to be a story about friendship and experimentation quickly became something much darker a much more important to talk about. I commend Ms. Rose on taking on such a tragedy in our country and providing awareness of how it can happen. I live in a location where we are told the possibility is very high, but incidents of raids similar to that in the book are very infrequent. I would encourage readers to research how to identify the those that might be in danger so that we can stop these atrocities.

I’d also like to say that I appreciated the additional information provided by the author’s notes. I’m not one who typically reads the notes or pays that much attention when they are playing, but I would encourage anyone who reads this book, or even starts and decides its not for them to listen to Chapter 33 and keep it handy.

This book is so much more than just the story it provides, but it was certainly entertaining and a definite page turner. I wanted, no needed, to know what happened. It is certainly a story I will read again, because once you finish, you almost have to read it again.

Ms. Murphy and Mr. Brion did a great job with the dual narration. I do not recall reading very many books with dual narration that are more novel than romance. I really enjoyed it and felt it added even more depth to the characters. Mr. Brion did a great job with the accents and keeping them consistent for the many characters he played.

This book not only left me with a book hangover, it also makes me want to take action. Great job!

different but really good

This was a great book. Books about BDSM are not really something I would normally listen to but this one wasn't too detailed. The narrators did a great job giving each character personality. Although some parts were a bit predictable overall this book keep my interest and wanting to listen more. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Wow!

I loved this book! It had an excellent storyline and truly kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning of the story all the way until the end. I love BDSM books as well as romantic suspense books, and this was the perfect combination of both. It also dealt with the issue of human trafficking and shows how easily women can get forced into the horrors of the sex trade. I loved Hope and how she would do anything to save her best friend, but what I really loved about her was she did what FBI agent, Eric, told her to do and didn't go off and do stupid stuff to put herself in danger like most heroines do in the stories I read. Eric was the perfect alpha male with his dominant side and his gentle side. This book was full of suspense with lots of twists and turns. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great story!

Love Love Love it!

Erotica isn't my normal genre, although this is more suspense/mystery. This is definitely erotic, but still leaves a bit to the imagination. I loved it! I really don't know much about the BDSM lifestyle, but it seems Patricia Rose does or at least did her research!

This book not only deals with BDSM, but human trafficking as well. Hope's friend Callie is into the BDSM lifestyle. Callie is a sub. She's been talking to a guy online and plans to go on a "play date" with him and asks Hope to be her safe call. When Hope doesn't receive the last scheduled call she starts to worry until she finally is able to reach Callie. Callie mentioned a key work that lets Hope know something is very wrong! It's up to Hope and Agent Eric to find her. Hope has to emerse herself into the BDSM lifestyle to go undercover to find her friend.

Stephanie​ Murphy and Paul Brion do an excellent job with the narration! Each of them take on multiple characters and accents. Both of these narrators are new to me but I enjoyed both and plan to check out more of their work. Stephanie has a very seductive voice for her character and Paul's voice is very confident and commanding.

Patricia Rose is my favorite author! I was first introduced to her work in 2015 with her first book, Iron Mike. Another great book worth checking out! Patricia is one of only 2 authors I'd buy a book without even looking at the description! I love her work.

On a side note, I love Agent Todd Vogel! lol Seems like am awesome guy! Thank you Patricia!

Hope is definitely not Hopeless ..

I was rewarded with this audiobook free of any cost & in return I'm offering my unbiased opinion & review of this story. When I first noticed Hopeless by P. Rose I presumed it was just another book with BDSM/erotica dominating this book , I'm pleased I looked beyond my first thoughts . Sure there is BDSM & sex but there is also mystery , intrigue , twists & a very good story . No spoilers here but Hope is a female investigative reporter who is trying to find her friend Callie who has disappeared . Eric a FBI agent joins with Hope & they delve into the BDSM scene because thats where Callie disappeared . I enjoyed this audio book , it was fast moving & the two narrators Stephanie Murphy & Paul Brion were excellent . Good narration , great story , what are you waiting for , do yourself a favor & go get this book .

Sexy, strong and danger

Perfect of anyone that views BDSM with a curious mind from the out side.
This is a thriller book about a recherche journalist that loses her friend for a human traffic network while dealing with the BDSM scene. Hope, that's her name, has then to enter that world to find her. She will have the help of an undercover officer that will make the intro.
I just love it. All of it. The thriller, the sexy scene, the BDSM intro.
The fact that the book has 2 narrators is even more great. Both do a great job and bring even more realism to the book.
There is a couple of chapters with a 3rd person point of view that we could live without (specially when he talks about something he doesn't sees), but it doesn't stop me from saying this book is awesome.
You can read it even if you don't find BDSM that much appealing.

Loved this one! Super hot but also had a really good story that was full of suspense. Narration was perfect - especially for these characters. I really loved this one and highly recommend it!
