Whether you've been in business for several decades or are breaking ground as a new entrepreneur, taxes are a significant expenditure. They must be accounted for and incorporated into your business plan from the very beginning. Intro to ease you into taxes

This is a quick start guide on taxes for small businesses. There are specific examples and advice that help clarify some of the deductions that are available to small businesses. I don’t think it is substantial enough to do your own taxes off of, but that is why it is a quickstart guide. It presents a nice gentle lead into the deductions and rules. Always consult a tax professional or get them to do your taxes every few years after doing your own; or when vastly different rules are introduced. The value in the book is that it should allow you to have a less confusing conversation with a tax professional as you will at least have had a primer and should be able to understand the gist of the conversation. It also reminds people that if you do your own taxes you need to keep upto date on relevant tax rules as they are always changing. Additionally, I would recommend this to someone starting out with their own business, as it is better to know ahead of time what kind of records and receipts to keep and organize them accordingly, rather than waiting until tax time to tackle a mountain of receipts.

The narration was good. Everything was clear and well paced.

I received this book free in exchange for my honest review!

“Full Disclosure: I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review”

I thought this book was informative. There was a lot I didn't know about taxes that I now know that helped me get organized. It's not a step by step guide but rather a lot of rules and regulations as well as tips on how to stay organized and record deductions

Great Practical & Need-To-Know Small Biz Advice!

Would you consider the audio edition of Taxes for Small Businesses QuickStart Guide - Understanding Taxes for Your Sole Proprietorship, Startup, & LLC to be better than the print version?

I believe audio is a great way of learning, I have not read the print version, but I very much enjoyed being able to learn about taxes (a not so fun subject) while simply listening through my headphones!

What other book might you compare Taxes for Small Businesses QuickStart Guide - Understanding Taxes for Your Sole Proprietorship, Startup, & LLC to and why?

Small Business Taxes for Dummies might be a good comparison? This happens to be the first tax-related book I have read, so that says a lot about how easy ClydeBank has made this tax-learning process for any small business owner!

What does Kevin Kollins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The tonality of the reader keeps you engaged and focused on the important parts of what you need to take away from the audiobook.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When learning about the IRS and how it functions regarding small business it was a complete eye-opener!

Any additional comments?

Great book, easy to listen to and understand, would definitely recommend!

Useful but not comprehensive

I was compensated to provide this review: There was a lot of good information. Definitely something to read before doing your taxes. But by no measure a comprehensive guide on do it yourself.

A good basic review tool

This book does a good job of preparing you to go and see a tax professional. It’s not going to make you a CPA.

Very informative!

Very informative. If you are new to taxes for your small business, it is a good start. If you are a veteran, in the subject, is a good refresher.
