I really enjoyed this story. I love a flawed alpha and a woman strong enough to tame him. Bennett was a great character I enjoyed his journey. my only negative comment of the whole story was the blatant prejudice used to describe a black man in the fight scene between he and Bennett. the author used every negative stereotypical description of black men to depict him as a 'savage' however the white man (and I'm assuming he is white because wouldn't you know it the color of his skin is not written about in such detail) in the previous fight scene was only described as a 'brute'. for some reason this just rubbed me the wrong way because it subtly perpetuates the narrative that black men are to be feared while the character obviously capable of more violence is to be loved for those same flaws. I almost stopped listening after that chapter but decided to see the story threw. Again,, I like the story along with the first two in the series and I plan to finish the remaining two.

hard to believe

So...the h just got out of a relationship with an overbearing, abusive boyfriend. And she jumps right into a relationship with another overbearing guy? She takes no time to figure out if he might be an abusive asshole too? And whatever happened with the job? That whole part of the storyline just got dropped altogether. Did HR have any concerns? I mean...glad to see the "mystery" got wrapped up, but there are still a WHOLE bunch of loose ends laying around.

I'll just be sitting here in my corner, scratching my head about how this entire story unfolded.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It had everything, action suspense romance and sizzle! Bravo 👏
