I LOVE THIS AUTHOR.. & IMO THIS IS HER BEST WORK

This supremely talented author has written an intense and riveting romance that weaves around emotional damage and conflicted despair as head wars with a hero's charred heart. Nobody writes tangible all-consuming chemistry like this author and the sparks between good girl Eden and bad-boy Trent are instant.. and there’s something wonderful and beautifully desperate as light meets dark which ignites an all-consuming fire. Worth a credit? A big bulging Y E S.. there’s delicious ups and downs in their sizzling conflicts. There’s a wealth of emotions in the addictive chapters that follow. And there’s a sweet little cherished boy who is Daddy’s only reason for living.. until a desperate Kitten walks into his Bar looking for a job. The excellent dual POV narration by Connor and Desiree fit the main and secondary characters perfectly, their talents brought the full list of feels to life and they made this a memorable audiobook.

I love this book to the highest mountain!!!

This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time and it’s no surprise because A. L. Jackson is a truly gifted writer. I was sucked in immediately and felt like I became a part of this world. Eden and Trent had sizzling chemistry from the beginning and as their lives became more intwined, their love blossomed in the most beautiful way. The storyline was refreshing and enthralling…and honestly, I’m a sucker for a single dad romance! It was emotional and deep. The little boy…Gage…he brought so much life and happiness to the story. I couldn’t stop smiling when he was around. And Trent’s brothers…I’m already half in love with them…can’t wait for their stories! All the side characters were awesome. The narrators did an outstanding job…two of my faves! This is a MUST LISTEN!!!

Wow!!!

This was the best book I’ve listened to in a long time and I listen to books daily. It held my attention from the beginning to the end, all the characters were awesome, I loved every minute.

too many words

The story was good but there were too many words. It seemed like if 3 words would do she added 12. You don't need an adjective or phrase for everything. it was hard to get through but and I skipped quite a bit but I did it.

i can't

this is so bad i can't finish it. i don't understand the reviews praising it so much, obviously there are a lot of people out there looking to bask in pathos. i listen to audiobooks on my commute and i almost couldnt walk properly i was rolling ny eyes so often.
every thought and interaction has to have 5 similes and 2 metaphors, everyone thinks their life is more dramatic and dark than anyone else could ever understand. its like its written by an angsty teen with a metaphor fetish. sometimes people just talk to one another without sinking into the depths of hell or whatever. relax.

Stunning everything!

Oh Kitten! There are so many feelings going through me right now. This book is a must read/listen! This is my kinda book, beautiful intense storyline, all-consuming angst, sexy AF steam, heart-melting swoon, great twists, stunning writing, fantastic narration and the funniest most adorable boy EVER!

Trent & Eden couldn’t be more different. He is a bad boy, rough and devilish handsome with danger all around and only living for one reason. She is a grief-stricken beautiful teacher full of pure goodness looking for a job at his club. Sparks fly and hearts beat faster when they give into their flames of desire. Trent & Eden and especially little Gage captured my heart on their journey of hope, love, grief, loss, burying those demons and finding happiness.

This story has so many layers and A.L. Jackson´s writing made me feel like I was transported into this story. I felt such a deep emotional connection, especially with Eden. I felt everything, word, thought and action which put me through an emotional rollercoaster. The narration can only be described as aural awesomeness as these perfectly written words are outstandingly performed by Desiree Ketchum and Connor Crais. All those different tones and voices, especially the emotions of these scenes were only enhanced by their AMAZING acting and heartfelt performances. Also, I LOVED how both, Desiree & Connor interpreted Gage, seriously my heart, this kid is freaking cute and although I adore both voice actor’s performances immensely, Desiree stole the show for me as her kid voice is just something else.

The hype and love for this book are absolutely warranted. Go grab it!!! Looking forward to Trent´s brother´s stories.

Mixed Feelings

Things I liked about this book.
-The cover! Those models (especially the guy) are gorgeous!
-The narrators of the audiobook. Their voices fit the characters so well.

Things that made me so irritated
-Instalust. From pg 1 the 2 characters were drawn to each other, but I had such a hard time understanding why. Where was the relationship building?
-so much inner dialogue....
-The dramatic writing style just wasn't for me.

I love all the individual tropes that this book contained, but put together it really fell short of my expectations. 🙁

Too wordy for me

Story line was good and the narrators did a great job. This writer is just way too flowery and descriptive with her words. I found myself skipping ahead to avoid the long repetitive descriptions.

Another awesome book from AL Jackson

Love trio of perfection: AL, Desiree and Connor

This is easily in my top 5 of 2021. I love the sweet story of Eden and Trent. I love to go into a story blind so will not give any details here. If you are a fan of Al, Desiree and Connor you will enjoy the roller coaster ride of emotions. Also Trent being a single dad is so cute. There are many layers to the story which is what I love about the journey of their friendship. There is just something so special about both Desiree and Connor as narrator's. I visualize everything and they both bring the stories alive from the fist page until the last. Hope to read about Judd and Logan in a future story.

Fire 🔥

Connor Crais and Desiree Ketchum are the main reason I bought this book and they are fantastic 👏 I wish they did more narrations together, and when you listen to the narration you will know why💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The story is amazing good, you get invested into the characters and want them to make it.x I would definitely recommend it and it leaves you wanting more.x

So Many Reasons Why This Is Your Next Listen

I have so many reasons why I chose this book as my next read/listen. A.L. Jackson is one of my favourite authors, her Fight For Me series was one of my all time favourite and she is attending RARE in Edinburgh next year. So as part of the reading challenge I picked this book and it did not disappoint. I could not put this book down. It gave me all the feels and took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Another well-written story from Ms. Jackson and has everything I love from a romance book. A riveting second chance romance, in a small town between a smart, strong, sweet widow and a hot, dark, dangerous, single dad with the cutest, adorable son. The plot twist was wicked, I did not see it coming! What a great start to Redemption Hills series and I can’t wait to read book 2. Also, I love that this book was narrated by two of my favourite narrators Desiree Ketchum and Connor Crais. These two brought all the characters in this book to life. It was such a pleasure to listen. I highly recommend this book.

Brilliant

What a fabulous storyteller this author is. I was captivated right from page one to the end. I couldn’t stop listening. The romantic scenes were🌶️🌶️🌶️ and I almost felt that I was one of the family. The narrators did an absolutely fabulous job. I am definitely going to visit the authors webpage as I will definitely be reading more of her books.

this book has it all, including a little boy you can't help but fall in love with yourself. the narrations were stunning, capturing the characters perfectly. my only complaint is that, as a Brit I was horrified at the description of pigs in blankets..surly everyone knows they are wrapped in bacon! 😃

🔥Hot Romance 🔥

I loved this story, I couldn’t put it down. Eden is sweet, kind and caring. Trent has a past filled with hurt and pain. Eden is his light to his darkness. The story is so well written and the narrators bring the story to life. It’s hard not to fall in love with Eden and Trent, they deserve happiness.

Slow but worth it

I was halfway through the audiobook i was about to give up listening to it but then the story got even more interesting loving the single dad romance Gage was everything for me lol.

Well worth a KU add on

I’ve been LONG overdue an A.L Jackson read, and this book has had it all. Small Town Romance vibes, suspense, steam, a “no-good bad boy” meets “too-good good girl”, an impossibly cute kid, banter, ALL. THE. FEELS!!
I had to pick my jaw up off the floor a time or two… and did I mention steam?!
Trent and Eden are 🥵…
Just take me to Redemption Hills please.

I’m loving the Lawson brothers and kinda crushing hard on Sarge too.

It was over too soon, I wanted more.
I struggle when 5 year olds seem older than their age, but also to younger at the same time. Idk, it’s a mom thing, or maybe my kids aren’t that advanced 😅
