This Story Is Flirty

Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling comes the highly anticipated story about a second chance at love.

Come fall for Cammie and Dalton as they reunite after 10 years in this emotional standalone novel - a story of a second chance that will tug at your heartstrings and leave a smile on your face.

Cammie

It's been 10 years since I've seen him. Ten years. I have no idea what he's doing, where he's been, or if he's even still single. Have I thought about him over the years? Of course. Absolutely. But that doesn't mean anything, right? Just because you think about the boy you used to be in love with doesn't mean you're still in love with him now. Does it?

Dalton

I haven't seen her in 10 years. She's the only reason I'm even coming to this reunion. If it wasn't for her, I would have stayed home. Sure, I made mistakes back in high school. Hell, I was just a kid then. But I'm here to right my wrongs, to tell her I'm sorry and win her back. She changed my whole life, and she doesn't even know it. It's time she knew.

Great Story

I really liked the story and would've given this a five star if I didn't get so annoyed everytime this girl talk. I mean, really, it's like she's crying throughout the book. It's so irritating. Otherwise, Jason Clarke did a wonderful job at narrating and the story was wonderful.

Cutesy and Sweet

Mostly cute and sweet. A few way overly dramatic parts, but at least it was near the end.

Narrators:
Jason Clarke - 5 stars!
Erin Mallon- 3. Whenever she gets to an emotional part, her voice becomes very shaky. It's hard to listen. Also, her whispering is awkward. I wish she'd just read with her regular voice. She could easily be 5+ stars!

Disappointed

I could not finish book, narration left me uninterested. If each narrater were only reading their gender's part it would be fine.

The bigger the love the bigger the fear of losing

Where does 10 Years Later rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

above average, for sure.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I wasn't really a fan of the narrator. Her voice seemed whiny at times especially while performing male parts. Certain enunciations seemed above par, but others could be deemed as downright annoying.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions here.

Any additional comments?

I did enjoy this book. It deserves a 4.5 on the story line for sure. No real curveballs, but maybe a good thoughtless beach read.

Worth a credit?👍🏻

10 Years Later by J. Sterling is a good book about young lovers who reconnect at their 10 year high school reunion. This story is very relatable and is a good escape for the listener. Once again, Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon give us a solid performance.

I think this story is definitely worth a credit.👍🏻 This story really hit home for me because my husband is a police officer. I understand the fear of not being able to contact him, wondering if he was safe and praying he would come home to us.

10 years later is A true to life second chance romance

Cammie and Dalton have a timeless love. They were only kids when they meet and life got in the way but once they see each other again it’s like no time has passed. This store has its ups and downs but it is a story I think we can all relate to. We all have a first love but only a few have made that love last forever. J Sterling is an amazing writer who not only has a way with words but who truly makes you feel the love between the characters in her books.
