Great story!

This really brings out the need for women to have true friends. Hearing this account from both perspectives is really a great listen and gives the women such depth.

Enjoyed the story and the wonderful performance of intertwined lives of two women who happened to move next to each other and became "soul sisters" forever. Nicely done!

Women's Friendships Are Most Important

I liked this series of vignettes about the friendship between two female neighbors, moms, allies. Spouses aren't always meant to be our best friends and this book discusses the relationships that can be just as important, at times, to stay-at-home moms in particular. The writers were the narrators and at times the vocal performance was boring, like they were just reading the words. Overall, a good story and a quick audio book.

I enjoyed the sharing of the hearts of these two women. I'm glad they are still good friends.

The realities of friendship...

Enjoyed the story (and performances) that show how interwoven two lives can become... and how quickly a relationship can dismantle. Remembering to always be respectful to others goes a long ways to building... and rebuilding relationships.

A brilliant story of female friendship.

There are so many dynamics brought into any friendship and this story shared parts many of us would never share with others. Leban’s and DePino’s willingness to let us in on such turbulent and vulnerable times is a blessing. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to listen to their peaks and valleys; creating a safe space for the two of them to thrive.

Meh

Maybe it's because I'm someone that has always been somewhat fluid in my friendships, but I just wasn't invested in this. I'm happy these women have found a way to make it work but to be weeping when your friend is moving away felt excessive. I love and value my friends, but I also never worry about losing them because I know friendship isn't about distance.
