Great Story and Well Written

I really enjoyed this story. It centers around some pretty hurtful family dynamics but still manages to be genuinely funny.

I laughed so much with this story!

If you've ever known a free spirit who dares to live for the moment and challenge all the rules of polite society with a wink and a smile then you know Grace--you know the meaning of being the black sheep of the family. Each sentence is a delightfully narrated step on a comical path to self discovery and acceptance of our flawed selves.

As a kid who was also proud to be more like my grandmother than other relatives, I totally enjoyed this story. Thank you.

Stories are funny. Delivery is not very good...wish they had another reader. Would recommend with different reader.

A Maverick's Tale

Being somewhat of a maverick myself, I identified with the author. His grandmother is, however, the star of the show - A feisty senior citizen who has a penchant for the naughty. If you've ever been a non-conformist, or wanted to be one, this story is for you.

Bad Boys Bad Boys Watcha Gonna Do?

This guy had me at, “As we drove off to the (police) station, I belted out the theme song to the TV show ‘Cops’.” Rory Scholl’s well-crafted narrative chronicles his journey as a young man forced to face the parallels between his life choices and those of a beloved family member after the soul-damaging parental admonishment “you’re just like your grandmother” sinks in. Does Rory summon the courage to embrace the black sheep traits? Listen and and find out! I don’t think I’ve heard Mr. Scholl on the RISK! podcast. Where can I hear more from him??

Could be any grandma!

I listened to this while floating around in the pool and really enjoyed it. Well my mother was in a nursing home I wish I would’ve thought of this because I know she would’ve enjoyed it. She would’ve enjoyed the scratch tickets and the screwdrivers.

struggled thru this, shallow and not much of a storyline. not one I would have purchased although sample was interesting
