Real Life Emotions

I have loved every book in this series. The writing is so good you feel every emotion right along with the characters as if you are there. Mason and Anna have deep wounds and are scared to let anyone in. What an emotional and suspenseful journey. Fabulous narration.

Perfectly Titled, Beautiful story

I loved loved loved this story. Catherine Cowles really does know how to write a beautifully (perfect series title) love story. Anna had a really hard adolescence with her physically abusive father and a mother who turned a blind eye only to be deceived and betrayed by the one person she thought she could count on, her teenage boyfriend. After spending time behind bars for a crime she didn't commit, she begins building a new life. She's let her past go with the exception of her sister, who finally comes around and believes begins to believe that Anna was truly innocent all those years ago. Just when it seems like they'll be able to get back to the sisters they once were, Chelsea, Annas sister, is found dead and thus a custody battle for Chelseas two children, Justin and Lyla, begins. Anna cannot allow her abusive parents to raise her niece and nephew. Enter Mason. He's been crushing on Anna for 2 years (as has she on him) but since she's been playing defense with him the entire time he hasn't really made a move. He's there when Anna gets the news of her sisters death and proves over and over that he's gong to be there for her through it all. With her criminal record and her parents ability to keep their secrets hidden all those years it's not looking good for Anna's case. Mason offers to marry Anna, giving her the stability she'll need to prove she can take care of the children. I loved the way they fell in love with each other and the children truly becoming a family unit.

This book will give you All.The.Feels. You'll love Anna and Mason and the kiddos. You'll cry with this story, laugh and even get extremely angry - I wanted to throat punch Mason's sister, Juliette, on more than one occasion. But overall, I wouldn't change a thing about this book. Catherine Cowles did it again... can't wait to read whatever she comes out with next!

Addictive.

This series is perfect. Each book brings their unique story with a touch of charm, humor and a sense of adventure. I love the author’s style of storytelling and the characters are so much fun. The story is very interesting and very engaging to read and I love how it feels to read and enjoy the book.

Loved this concluding book to the series!

Really enjoyed the whole series and I think this one might be my favorite!

Great Series!

First time reading/listening to any book by Catherine Cowles! Not at all disappointed! Love the narrators too! So many of the audible books would be great if only the authors picked good narrators! I’ve had to stop listening to some before I could even get very for in the story.

So sweet

I wasn’t ready for this book like I thought. I thought I would drag this one out so I didn’t have to say goodbye to sutter lake just yet, but of course it was all consuming like the rest of the series and took me less than a day to eat it up. Sad that this has come to an end, but excited to see where else Catherine takes me

Five for five with the head wounds

I’ve started each book in this series enjoying the story development and then bam! 💥 danger strikes in the same way each time. If you are going to write a suspense series, you have to vary the build up. It can’t always be very similar scenarios happening over and over again. Well, I guess it can because this is book five and it happened again.
The narrators have been wonderful, I can’t fault them on telling the story as it was written. This story was published in 2021, I can’t fault only hope her suspense game in a series has improved.

Predictable as they are all the same

I liked that the last story had a different story line in this series, but they are pretty repetitive. I like these kinds of stories but more variation would keep me more engaged. I am looking for a new author as I kinda feel like if I've listened to one of these stories, I've got the gist of them all. I also don't love how all the descriptive words are often the same. For example, it is always my stomach roiled vs anything else that could be used. I don't feel the soul in each book as they are all almost exactly the same.

A beautiful ending to a fabulous series! I loved every book of this series so much! I had it ended so soon!

If you haven't read or listened to this series...what are you waiting for. This is another fantastic story and the only problem is that I "read" it to quickly
Catherine certainly draws you into a story and plops you right down so that you feel like you are right there with them. Also, the narrators for this set are fantastic. Enjoy!!!
