After a few eye-opening experiences, she quickly realizes that she's being used. Vowing to herself that she'll make the best of the situation, she begins to steel her heart. What she doesn't prepare for is a man named Evander who sees that barrier as a challenge.

The humor in the reality of situations.

Gotta say, this was a fun read. Only question I have is why the veterinarian didn’t involve more conflict with Van… would have made it more satisfying 😉

This is a great contemporary romance featuring a rough and tumble tattooed man with a cute animal lover. It's humor comes at just the right moments.

good story but...

what happened to the donkey?? Enjoyed the storyline but made it all the way to the end to wonder what happened to Kennedys donkey! oh well lol

Evander is an ex-con who just wants to have everything go back to normal. Kennedy is trying to keep her family together and keep from losing everything she has worked so hard for.

I really enjoyed the story, and the voices match the personality. Highly recommend this book.

This was an excellent book. The storyline was fantastic. I can't wait for the 2nd book. Even the performance/narration was fabulous.

It was a good story. But btw, NO ONE is earning a living off of 20-30 chickens.
That’s barely 2 dozen eggs a day at maybe $3-$5 a dozen. That’s a humble $280 a month, $60 or so going back to chicken feed, then some more towards other upkeep costs. Lol sorry, but you’d need a few hundred more chickens to make a livelihood out of selling eggs at the farmers market.

Other than THAT and the constant dead animals, it was an entertaining story.

mason lloyd has a great voice, the book was wonderful. would recommend it to everyone
