Slow

I agree with the other reviewer, it’s boring. Very slow moving and lackluster. I actually felt like the dialogue was “blah blah blah…”

I don’t typically give very negative reviews, I try to find the good. In this case the narrators did a great job!

Otherwise 3/5 and I won’t be going on to the next book

great start to the series

J Saman is one of my favorite authors so I'm trying to go through her older books. Thrilled to see some of these in the plus catalog. I've briefly met some of these characters in future books so it's fun to read their stories.
Haley and Jonah are so good together! Neither looking for more than casual, love sneaks up on them. Jonah is so extra sweet, always saying and doing the perfect thing. Haley is super understanding of his past and allows him to feel without judgment. So good!
Both narrators were new to me and I enjoyed their performances. They didn't necessarily wow me but absolutely nothing negative to say either.

I enjoyed this story line very much. the build up was slow, sweet, hot, and suspenseful. There were also moments where I found myself emotional.

Fabulous!

I absolutely LOVED Noah and Halle's story. It was so romantic the way they each knocked the other off their feet. So life-affirming the way they made each other happy again. They had some obstacles and crazy bumps along the way, but nothing could come between them. And the smexy times were so freakin' HOT, passionate and well-written! This narration pair was perfect, they conveyed all the feels, right down to the swoony HEA. J. Saman is a one-click author for me!

Great storyline. Also came with some suspense that I didn't expect. I am really loving all of Julia's stories. She is so talented!

When Halle and Jonah meet, they are both dealing with the loss of a loved one. They move into a one night stand that turns into a fling, and then so much more.

I liked how sweet Jonah is, even while still mourning the loss of his wife. He opens himself up to Halle, who is also in the process of moving on.

There is love and some mystery in the book. It’s a good book about finding love after losing someone who meant the world to you. A heart can always grow.

The narrators do a great job!

A bit slow and very predictable.

Good job by both narrators, which is always important to me, but the story was pretty slow and very predictable. I was pretty underwhelmed by this one.

I really tried to listen to it, only made it halfway through.

Slow and Inaccurate DNF

I have the audio on 1.5 and it's still slow as molasses. The first 5 chapters could have been 2 succinct chapters with his and her povs.

I think I need to stop reading because I find the medical inaccuracies make it hard to focus and simply enjoy the story. I know this is a fiction book, but at least try to make it believable. If someone's female doctor was absent they would have advised her before arriving or at the least in the waiting room upon checking in. Also, it's illegal for a male doctor to perform gyno check ups without a female nurse present in the room.

Halle' insecure and whiny back-to-back pov is excruciatingly painful.

I've read other books by this author, which are exponentially better. This isn't it.
