Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her.
After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic.
And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.
Forbes may have labeled me the World’s Hottest Billionaire but all I care about is opening my new recording studio. Something that comes to a screeching halt when I end up face-to-face with a young girl who claims I’m her biological father.
Now I spend my days balancing business with parenting a sullen twelve-year-old all while trying desperately to keep my hands the hell off my best friend’s little sister.
I vow to keep Rosie at arm’s length. I try to stick to scowls and grumpy one-liners. But with her verbal sparring is merely foreplay—friction that turns to blistering heat.
I know damn well I shouldn’t cross that line.
But shouldn’t and can’t are two very different things.
And the only thing I truly can’t do is resist her.

Although I didn’t love this as much as I expected, it was an easy listen because This is narrated by Zachary webber .
I love Ford ( Willa’s brother) but the first half of the book is especially slow paced. It took quite a while for anything interesting to happen & the couple is kind of dry. Their ship dynamic was pretty weird and I felt like the whole “Frenemies” thing was just completely made up. What do you mean you hate this man since when? Also, the last argument /conflict was very f-ing stupid. I just wanted to tell her to shut up.
There were little things about the whole 12 year old child situation but may come across as way too convenient for the plot . This little girl parents have absolutely no family? Not one single person??
Anyways , The smut that eventually happens is hot That’s probably the best thing about this book to be honest.
Is this single dad romance as good as cade x willa? No
But if you’re a lover girl who finds cutesy romances your thing, you’ll probably love this more than I

I enjoyed the love story between Ford and Rosie, I am a sucker for a good childhood crush trope! This was a slowwww burn in true Elsie fashion but I did love the growth and development of the characters as they went on! The audio of this was amazing, I love Zachary Webber he’s a perfect Ford and Vanessa Edwin definitely embodied Rosie! 🩷 having a husband and a dad who are on a local bowling league that part of this whole thing made me CACKLE 😂 it’s so realistic! I cannot wait to read the rest of these books in this series and see how all of the single dads tie together! This one wasn’t my favorite Elsie book and I felt it was a tad bit slow, so I was kinda disappointed but even so I did enjoy the ride and am excited to read the rest! Elsie is still a favorite author for sure!
Good but not a fave

Elsie does it again. I absolutely adored this book; the plot, the characters, the spice, the characters, did I mention the characters? I fell so dang hard for Ford and Rosie, but I also fell head over heels for their family and friends. Cora was incredible and I was so happy she got to be part of their happily ever after. I loved Wes and his kids. Ford's mother, who we already knew from Willa's story, was so freaking funny. I couldn't get enough of every single one of them.
The banter was epic. And not only between Ford and Rosie, but Ford and Willa and Cora and everyone around her were also so funny. I love how Elsie wrote their interactions, I could not stop laughing. I loved the diary entries and the back and forth it created between Ford and Rosie, everything surrounding that journal was so sweet and had me swooning and laughing and swooning some more.
The audio was amazing. Zachary Webber is one of my absolute faves and he did an incredible job and Ford. Vanessa Edwin did amazing as Rosie too, I just loved them both so much. Elsie always has the best narrators and I can't wait to see who's up next and who is narrating them.
Another Incredible Start
