Let Your Hearts Be Light is the fluffiest, coziest, and tooth achingly sweetest holiday romance I’ve come across this holiday season, and I am OBSESSED.

I’m a total sucker for the grumpy x sunshine trope and watching Baxter, the kindest and most warm-hearted person, tentatively form a friendship with Paxton, the town grump, all because their kids forced them into it for a school activity… LOVED!

Paxton was just so distrustful of anyone who seemed to be as happy and put together as Baxter, but the more he got to know him and see past that happy exterior, the more he realizes how much he misjudged Baxter (and how much of a dick he’s been 🤣). I loved their friendship, the way they forced each other outside of their comfort zones, and always comforted the other when they needed it the most. But that slow and disgustingly sweet progression of their friendship into something more… *chefs kiss* The chemistry and the spice?! 🥵🥵🥵

And that epilogue? 😭😭😭 so perfect and I loved it so much!

I really enjoyed this story. 2 single dads, HEA. No third act breakup! Good narrators. I recommend this one.

Parent Trapish

This story was all about becoming happy. While it was called let your hearts be light, all their hearts were heavy for one reason or another. Slowly, throughout the Christmas season they begin to get lighter and lighter. I love when a story doesn’t have a fall out, it makes it better when it’s all rise no fall. Everything continued to work itself out because they had each other’s support. This was more than a LGBT Christmas story.

So much fun

This book is absolutely adorable while being fluffy with substance. The narrators did and excellent job.

Grumpy and Cozy

This book was just so sweet. I loved the force proximity and I’m usually not about single parents, but this one was done in such a cute way that it did help the story and not take over the story. I’m absolutely in love with these two.

Ugh, THIS BOOK. For starters, it’s the sweetest most cutest book ever. Everytime I think about these two I just want to cry tears of total joy. I love them. So much. Secondly, these narrators did such an excellent job I just want to scream. Can I just say, daddy Paxton. DADDY. PAXTON. I will never be the same. Both narrators just brought two of my favorite characters to life so perfectly.

slow burn

This was such an amazing story about two single dads who are lonely and don't really have anyone except their kids. Whether by their choice or not. When the kids (Nathan and Becca) sign their dads up to be Christmas Buddies, Paxton and Baxter are hesitant to do it. Paxton is the grumpy one that hates Baxter on just the fact he seems always happy. Baxter is the sunshine that is always smiling who the town adores. But not everything is as it looks from the outside. When Paxton spends some time with Baxter and begins to see his smiles hide grief and sadness, he’s determined to make those smiles genuine. As they spend time together the friendship they have with the chemistry becomes combustible. This was the perfect book to start reading for the holidays. Highly recommend

I really enjoyed the audio as it's two of my favorite narrators.
