PLESENTLY SUPRISED

The book was surprisingly heartwarming. The relationship was so cute and steamy. Love the way I can always count on Jesse to give me an enjoyable story to devour.

in the beginning

at the start of this audiobook I did not think I would like the characters but at the end I kind of fell in love with both of them. the narration was super good. the sound quality was awesome. the story was good but relaxed which it's a good pallet cleanser. if you've been going hard on audiobooks, this is like a good thing to read in between. just like settle your mind, kind of thing and all around five stars. love it.

Fantastic Story and Narrators

This is a new author for me, and I am glad I picked the book. It's so hard to find good stories (because I'm picky, not because there's not a ton of good MM writers). The narration was top-notch as well. Well worth the credit!

Beautifully written and narrated

Well this was unexpected. The story telling here was compelling to the point that it got me past my own biases and I just fell into a beautifully told story. Honest hopeful and the intimate parts were 🔥 and detailed. Mind opened and blown.

This was a new author for me and I'm so happy I gave the book a try. 👏
I wasn't sure what to expect of the story, being a somewhat a taboo subject but it was written very tastefully.
Jesse's Mother wanted to get him away from his father so she moved them to Australia for some time. When she started seeing a boyfriend once Jesse was a young man she convinced him to go back to the states to live with his father and his new perfect family to attend college out in California and to let his dad pay for it.
Once Jessie moved into his fathers new home with his step mom and step brother, he couldn't get over how welcoming and happy they were to have him there invading their space. It was so bizarre how happy everyone seemed, Luke his step brother was just so naive. Jesse found himself wanting to be protective of Luke and keep anyone from hurting or making fun of him even though Luke was an adult himself. He was so full of energy and positivity 😃 that Jesse found Lukes outlook on life to be addictive.
I listened to this on audio and the narrators Ellis Evans and Liam DiCosimo did a fantastic job.This was a really good book, I'm so happy I read it and I can't wait to read more from this author!!

This audiobook was sooooo good!
I was a little worried about the story cause I’ve read mixed reviews but it was so good! Loved both characters and the 🌶️ Scenes were *chefs kiss*

Surprisingly sensual 🔥

Both characters are emotionally deep which surprised me for a teenage angsty title. The first few chapters had me fooled that this was going to be a silly forbidden fruit type story. But Luke was tuned into Jessie's pain and gave him so much. The sex is sensual and steamy and hot AF! Thank you!

I liked how the parents knew

Great book. I would listen to it again and again. Love it. The fact that his dad and step mom knew was something that was surprising and awesome.

Sweet and Spicy

This book was incredible! The first book I’ve ever read from this author, and I will be coming back for more.

It was hot, it was sweet, it had its dark moments but they fit in really well with the story line and added to the depth of the characters. I would highly recommend!
