Publisher's summary

A life of service to the SEAL Brotherhood and his country to protect the innocent. A life of honor finding and exposing victims of human trafficking—and finding love in the middle!

Navy SEAL Jason Kealoha and investigative reporter Kiley Worthington are no strangers to dangerous adventures. A year has passed since they helped shut down a human trafficking ring operating out of a stolen cruise ship.

Jason and Kiley settle into the white sugar sand beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast, the place where their love was born. The tropical paradise is a refuge from her work in Portland and his Coronado SEAL Team 3.

Going forward proves more difficult than they planned no thanks to enemies from their past. The threat casts a dire shadow across the couple's idyllic, sun-drenched world.

Now Jason and Kiley must each decide which of their priorities is the most important, but will they choose the same things?

Finding Home is the eighth book in the Sunset SEALs series, but you might recognize Jason and Kiley from book four, Escape to Sunset.

This novel wraps up the series. While you can listen to it by itself, it's more fun to binge the whole series!

Finding Home, great conclusion to series

This is the eighth and final story in the Sunset SEALs series. What a story! I was not putting this Audible book down until I had finished listening to it. Navy SEAL Jason Kealoha and investigative reporter Kiley Worthington will have a lot to get through with him in Mexico and her disobeying and going where she was not suppose to while he was gone. There is drama, danger, suspense, villains of all over and love. I would recommend.

Finding Home

This book continues Jason and Kiley's story from Escape To Sunset. We follow Jason and Kiley who are expecting their first baby, trying to decide where their home will be. While Jason is on a mission, Kiley must face dangers at home. Another great story in the series. AUDIO: JD Hart does an amazing job of narrating the book.

Excellent end to the series

Finding Home is the eighth book in the Sunset SEALS series. I’ve loved the stories about the SEALS and their strong women that have found happiness at Sunset Beach. This story is about Jason and Kiley as they start a family and try to decide where to live. I love that their relationship has grown so much. Jason goes on a mission, and Kiley gets drawn back into the danger of the reporting world that she left behind. He has to work with his friends to save her. Sharon Hamilton has written a fast paced suspenseful story with a great happily ever after. I would recommend reading Jason and Kiley’s first story, Escape To Sunset, first.

love Jason

Loved the way the author goes into more detail of Jason's heritage and traditions of his family, beautiful ceremony of welcoming a child to the family before it is born. I love Jason and was really trying to like Kiley for him, like I loved the heroines in the SEAL world, but there is this almost dismissive attitude towards Jason, his feelings and the promises she makes to him. Many times I wanted to smack her silly, at times she comes across as having no common sense.
JD Hart gives a great performance, the way he was telling the story and how his voice brought the characters to life. I love listening to him.

A good addition to the series

With this audiobook, we are back with the Sunset SEALs as well as with Hawaiian Navy SEAL Jason Kealoha. He met the love of his life, Kiley Worthington, an investigative reporter in book 4 of the series. That one is titled Escape to Sunset. Though Finding Home is a standalone, I would high recommend the reader to read it prior to this one. It will give them a more detailed background of this couple.
In this story, we have more than one plot going on. Jason and Kiley are married and expecting a child. The story takes readers to Hawaii where we are introduced to Jason’t family, and their “naming” traditions. Very touching as well as enlightening.
When Jason is sent with the team to Mexico, their mission is a continuation of a previous one . Meanwhile, Kiley’s unexpected involvement with human traffickers puts her in danger.
This is a story about family, traditions, the reality of human trafficking, and on a personal note for the characters, setting up priorities, and realizing, that dialogue, love and respect are of outmost importance.
As always, it was nice to spend time with some of the Jason’s teammates whom we have met in previous stories and series.

Jason and Kiley find their forever home

We first met Jason and Kiley in book 4 of the Sunset Seal series, Escape to Sunset. At the conclusion of book 4 Jason is still with the teams in California, but is returning a brother seals ashes to Sunset Beach, Kiley after writing a story on the mob up in Portland has escaped to Sunset Beach where she and Jason meet. Our journey with Jason and Kiley continues with learning they married and now are expecting their first child. They are returning to Hawaii for the traditional activities that occurwhen a couple is expecting of course Kiley still feels out of her element with the traditions but her love for Jason allows her to do what is required. We find that Jason is recalled for a deployment and heads to California and Kiley returns to Sunset Beach. Unfortunately the bad guys from the previous book are at it again and Kiley’s friend from Portland begs her to return to help. Reluctantly she decides to go even though she promised Jason she’d stay in Sunset Beach. While deployed Jason finds out she left and has been kidnapped. He is beside himself but luckily there are others who manage a rescue of the girls. Yes you get an HEA and the bad guys get theirs too, but there’s a lot going on you will love the narrator JD Hart. He makes these books come alive and helps us to enjoy Sharon’s books. Happy listening

Narration Enhanced Some Aspects; Some Good, Some N

Audiobook Review 11/10/22
I thought the narration was well done. It served to enhance some of the emotional scenes, as well as the description of Kauai. It added a touch more suspense to the Mexico operation.

I hate to have to say this, but the narration only served to make me dislike Julie's character even more. She seemed even more whiny, selfish, and inconsiderate to me. That is just one woman's opinion. I think you should listen and judge for yourself.

Ebook Review - 8/21/22
I always like to catch up with the guys in SEAL Team 3. I had forgotten how many characters in previous books were under Kyle's command.

This book could be read as a stand-alone, but reading Escape To Sunset first will provide a more complete picture of Jason and Kiley's history.

I thought the descriptions of Kauai were awesome. Jason's family traditions were very interesting and of an almost spiritual nature. I got the sense that Kylie really didn't understand how much Jason's home, family, and traditions meant to him or how deeply ingrained they were in him.

I have to be honest. I didn't like Kiley. I felt like she was thoughtless in regard to her promises to Jason and her current situation. It felt to me like she wasn't taking thing seriously or giving any real consideration to the consequences of her actions.

I felt badly for Jason because he had to feel helpless. Maybe I was supposed to feel like Kylie had so much faith in Jason that she would be ok. That is not what I took from her behavior.

I thought the Mexico operation was interesting. There were a couple of situations in this book that I would have liked more detail regarding their conclusion.

In terms of the romance, I can't get past feeling as though Kylie was very dismissive of what Jason wanted. They had a conversation about his Mom. He kept asking Kylie to let it go, and she wouldn't stop.

I thought that what Kyle's team and Jason were doing in Mexico had the potential to be even more intriguing. There were a number of things going on at once, and I thought maybe I had overlooked facts, or details were left out. I would give this book 3.25 or 3.5 stars. I really wasn't feeling the relationship between Jason and Kylie.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
