Looking back, I should have seen the signs. Perhaps I did, but I subconsciously chose to ignore them. From the time I was ten, when I first met Dylan, I knew he was my forever guy. Back then, I couldn’t put words to what I was feeling, but, as the years progressed, I came to recognize it for what it was - soul-deep love. The kind only very few people ever get to experience. Dylan was more than just my best friend, my childhood sweetheart, my lover. He was my soul mate. We were carved from the same whole - destined to be together forever. Until he changed.

The night we met in the dimly lit bar, she looked like a brunette bombshell, and I wanted to learn her deepest secrets. With sun-kissed skin and soulful bedroom eyes, she was pure temptation, and I was mesmerized. As one drink led to two, I craved more of her playful banter and taunting lips. Resisting her wasn't an option, and we quickly became a desperate mess of tangled limbs and hot kisses. She tasted like the sweetest sin, but I was no saint.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone...I’m the second-most hated person in Amber Springs. First place honors go to my twin, Ethan; however, hate isn’t a strong enough word to convey how people feel about him. Not that I blame anyone - some days, I hate him too. Mostly, I’m just lost and afraid, drowning in a sea of betrayal and guilt, wondering how this happened right under my nose. There’s no choice but to leave. To move clear across the country in a last-ditch attempt to start over.

When Cara stumbles across a stash of old postcards in the attic, their contents make her question everything she thought she knew. The story she pieces together is confusing and unsettling, and appears to have been patched over with lies. But who can tell her the truth? I saw her first. Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty. I was smitten. But it didn’t matter because she chose him, and he was my best friend and roommate. I’d never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn’t have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us. Now, I’m screwed. From her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can’t stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways.

Publisher's Summary
It’s been four, long, and painfully single years since my drunken hookup with Mr. Blue Eyes. His fading memory and unrealistic fantasies have sustained me thus far, but I’m lonely, tired of being the strong one while everything falls apart.
After making a deal with my mom, I jump back into the dating pool and come up for air with Derek. He’s sexy, funny, sweet - everything I could possibly want in a man, both for myself and my daughter. For the first time in my life, I’m excited about the future.
In walks Mr. Grumpy/Braden with his disgusting beard and perpetual self-loathing. Mr. Grumpy saves my life, but I wasn’t prepared for Braden’s dark truth. What he’s done can never be forgiven. But I’ve got a secret too, and I’m hanging on to it until I’m sure he isn’t some psycho head case.

Forgiveness!
I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. Remi Wild has written a story that is so realistic and is both heart-wrenching as well as heartwarming. Several of the characters will be given second chances to improve their lives. Some will have to practice forgiveness. You will fall in love with many of these characters especially a sweet little girl. The captivating voice of the narrator will make this a listening delight. Bridget captures the emotions of the characters and brings them to life. I highly recommend this Audible book. It captured my attention right from the beginning and did not let me down.

Nice Listen
I think Bridget did a great job narrating this story and providing the difference in characters that is needed to do a good listen. I found the story to be an easy story to follow and I love the premise of a one night stand surprise baby. The characters in this story were all well written and it was very easy to follow the dynamics of the characters and all the relations. I definitely found myself attached to some more than others and found myself cheering for these two to hopefully find their happily ever after.

Positive Romance with a Confident Female MC
I received this audiobook free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed One Last Shot, and liked how the main character, Lexi, was confident in her personality. I feel like female main characters in romances are sometimes written as one dimensional damsels, and that's certainly not the case here! I feel like this made for a nice change. Bridget Bordeaux's narration was top notch, and her voice is almost captivating, drawing you in to the story. Definitely worth checking out for fans of this genre!

second chance romance
Lexi is a single parent. She is happily dating Derek, until the father of her daughter comes back into her life. Her decision is not that easy to make. Follow her head or hear heart, yet always keeping what is best for her daughter in mind. Someone is bound to get hurt in this little triangle. You must read to find out who, why and how!
Bridget Bordeaux brings this story to life. She easily narrates all of the characters and makes them easy to follow. Bridget has a great voice. Her male voice is smooth and not forced. I enjoyed this narration.

I'll Love A Story As Long As Get A HEA❤❤
I admire the genres of books Remi Wild writes. Her book subject here in; "One Last Shot" happens in everyday lives and it's believable to the readers and listeners.
"One Last Shot" held a lot of Secrets in the Storylines. There were people who will be hurt by some Secrets, lives put on hold because there were abrupt changes from Secrets, Secrets will change the course of many lives when they come out. Secrets may determine the outcome to how this novel should END!
This is the first time I've had the pleasure of listening to Bridget Bordeaux narrate an audiobook. I'm very pleased with her skills of Visual Storytelling. I think she did a wonderful job in this novel and I hope to listen to her again in future books. I do recommend this novel to others I believe they will enjoy it as much as I had.

2md chance and many other subplots
the story is good. i didnt get a feel for heroine. she at times was weak no backbone. she was to busy wavering her decisions and not sticking to them.
book started out well but as it went on I was losing interest due to the whiney h.
the author also threw way to much other drama subplots in the story.
someone may like this kind of story but it wasnt for me.
the narrator is new to me. not bad but read fast, needed to take a breathe.

Second chance romance!
Thank you to Remi Wild for providing me with this audiobook in return for an honest review.
Single parent Lexi often dreams of her one night drunken stand with her child’s father. When new bartender Bradon walks into her life she can’t help but find him familiar.
I’m not usually a fan of second chance books but there is nothing that I can fault One Last Shot for. Heroine Lexi was a really likable character, a hard working mum, a sassy member of bar staff and a loving family member. She is also made very real with very human flaws.
Same goes for Bradon, a grumpy and brooding character who slowly shows to have a wonderful personality and sense of humour.
Lexi and Bradon’s story is really cute, Once I started listening to the book I got very invested in them very quickly. As did secondary characters like Lexi’s brother and mom.
I really liked narrator Bridget Bordeaux, she was upbeat and kept the story in a good tempo.
This was a cute story that I enjoyed listening to. I’d recommend it to romance fans!
