Publisher's Summary

Travel to the bright Caribbean one last time in the satisfying conclusion to the nationally best-selling Winter in Paradise trilogy by Elin Hilderbrand, "Queen of the Summer Novel" (People).

After uprooting her life in the States, Irene Steele has just settled in at the villa on St. John where her husband Russ had been living a double life. But a visit from the FBI shakes her foundations, and Irene once again learns just how little she knew about the man she loved. With help from their friends, Irene and her sons set up their lives while evidence mounts that the helicopter crash that killed Russ may not have been an accident.

Meanwhile, the island watches this drama unfold - including the driver of a Jeep with tinted windows who seems to be shadowing the Steele family. As a storm gathers strength in the Atlantic, surprises are in store for the Steeles: help from a mysterious source, and a new beginning in the paradise that has become their home. At last all will be revealed about the secrets and lies that brought Irene and her sons to St. John - and the truth that transformed them all.

Disappointed end of trilogy

I was so disappointed in the last book when the first two were so good.
Anticlimactic is the word I would use

hated the ending

I loved this series but the final book felt like all the lose ends got tied up cleaning and quickly without all the amazing details of the previous book.

Extremely FLAT ending

Enjoyed the first two of this series having spent time in St. John years ago, and was looking forward to the finale, but this one just left me flat. Seems like a little more pizzaz should have been thrown in

Disappointed

The second book could have just ended and they all lived happily ever after. I had the date marked on the calendar for this 3rd book to be out and was so disappointed. It sounded more like a travel itinerary than a romance mystery that I played over in my head. No twist or turns. I say you give this a rewrite with some twists or turns.

Loved the first two. Last one was a let down

I hate being negative but.... I really enjoyed the first two books and was excited about the third one but it fell flat. The story felt like a bad soap opera and disjointed. Totally bummed!

Satisfying ending to the trilogy

I like all of Elin’s work but this series has been my favorite. The setting of USVI is captivating. I will miss the characters but I am pleased with how things ended. There is enough uncertainty and challenges ahead for the characters and story line to feel real. Yet the major mysteries are solved and the ending feels like a good finish. The characters in this series are more likable than many of the Nantucket ones. I’d like to see the author move away from the preppy waspy white Nantucket folks more in the future.

Disappointing

For a trilogy I was looking for some questions to be answered. It seemed to jump all over st the end and never wrap up the story. Sorry I waisted a credit on it!
