Such a fun story

I have read all of the Critter Catcher books and was excited to try them on audiobook. The story is fun and moves fast. I love the friendship between Cody & Demetrius. The performance was ok, I thought the narrator was sort of monotone in places. I had to slow down the speed because he read very fast.

Long awaited and fantastic audio!

From my book review: Edwards does such an amazing job at crafting Demmy and Cody’s friendship. The depth of their relationship, even in Book One, makes both their inner struggles so profound and believable. Incredible character construction, from positive to negative traits, dialogue, reactions, and everything in between.

Zachary Zaba does a fantastic job taking on a much beloved paranormal romance series in the genre, and he breathes life, hilarity, and unique performances and deliveries into each of our heroes. I look forward to seeing how he grows into these books and where this leads his career!

Loved it!

I loved listening to this book as much as I loved reading the ebook.
I really hope the rest of the series is released in audio too.
I can’t wait for the next one.

The first Critter Catchers audiobook! Hooray!!!

I've waited for a long time to hear the voices of Hank Edwards's characters with my very own ears. I was simply delighted when he admitted he would be investing in the audio recordings of the Critter Catcher series. I'm IN LOVE with this narrator! He read the book perfectly and I can't say how much I appreciate that. In this series, long-time buddies Cody Bower (straight) and Demetrius Singleton (gay) go into business together launching a humane pest control company (Critter Catchers). They are called out to take care of a bothersome raccoon but found a critter that is too brutal for their special methods. A werewolf is running about the small town of Parson's Hollow committing brutal murders. And the boys must solve the mystery before they become the next victims. This series is such fun and the cast of characters in the book is absolutely amazing. Enjoy, folks.

Started off good but quickly fell

I think the biggest problem with this book is that it was all rushed. Neither the story or the characters were well thought out, the actions and reactions weren’t believable, and there was barely any character development or growth. This is what I like to call a throwaway story. Short and sweet, but with little substance. It’s the kind of book to sit back and relax with that doesn’t require critical thought.
That said however, the narration-aside from lacking any real emotion to underline and bring life to tense moments-was good, and overall, the story was enjoyable for a throwaway.

I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend this book because I’m looking forward to the next one for another day when I just want to veg.

Fun and past paced

The start to the series is a really great fast paced story. I enjoyed the dual PoVs to get to know what the two main characters were feeling and it helped to understand why they did what they did. These guys have been best friends for so long and now are going into business together. The creatures they had to deal with made me laugh a lot and I really liked the take on mythical creatures. I’m excited to see what will happen with there characters and have hope for some of them. Definitely going to continue on with the series.
