Publisher's summary

I play guitar.
I create music.
It’s all I ever wanted to do.

But I’m in a rut.
I’ve lived under the shadow of my past for so long I can’t see a future.

Then she falls into my life.
And suddenly, all I can hear are riffs, melodies, and beats.

She’s my muse - my inspiration.
She’s exactly what I need to get me back into the groove.

But will she accept my invitation?

Amazing Read/Listen

As with all Samantha Christy’s books, this one was amazing! The abuse that Liam endured was horrendous but so glad it wasn’t terribly descriptive. None the less, those parts were hard to get through.

I fell hard and fast for both Liam and Ella. Their love for one another is as strong as the mighty oak and they with withstand everything that is thrown at them together.

And Ronni can go suck a d$$k. That woman! I am so overly excited for Garrett’s book. January needs to hurry up!

Ella & Liam

Liam & Ella have an interesting way of meeting that puts Ella in rockstar Liam's life. Liam is all about sex and no relationships and Ella is getting out of a tough relationship that makes her swear of relationships right now. So working together in a strictly professional way and being friends is just fine. Until they get really close and Ella starts feeling more...

The one thing I hate is how this author loves giving us descriptive scenes of the hero with other woman. but a Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon narration is always phenomenal!

Powerful but sometimes hard to listen

This is a typical Samantha Christy where one or both of the main characters are needing to heal from major trauma, abuse, or loss in their past. This story follows Liam, a member of the band Reckless Alibi from Christy’s book Reckless Obsession, and Emma, a sweet girl-next-door who has recently left her cheating boyfriend. Liam has a secret in his past that makes him think he is unworthy and unable to fall in love. There is an HEA but it is only achieved after breaking through some near impenetrable emotional walls that Liam has built. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon masterfully performed this difficult and emotional story of shame, healing, and finding love when it looked impossible. ***** Trigger warning and spoiler-there is child sexual molestation and suicide described in some detail.

Liam and Ella = swoon!

Wow, I really loved Reckless Obsession and wondered how Samantha Christy could top Crew and Bria's story. She did it and so much more! I loved everything about Liam and Ella's story. These two were simply made for each other, and the more time they spent together, the more in love they fell.

Liam has some incredible baggage to overcome in this book. I'm so glad he had Ella to help him and love him for the amazing guy he is. Samantha Christy has a way of writing stories that completely rip your heart out, and then put it back together. I loved how Liam and Ella start out as friends, and then of course that friendship grows into something so much more, however there are plenty of challenges along the way.

Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke are so, so amazing in this book. These two give their all with such a passionate and emotional performances. Ella is such an understanding and loving character, and Erin of course gives us all these details in her performance. Which in turn helps us love Ella's character even more. Jason Clarke is simply perfect again as Liam, giving us plenty of raw emotion and his signature growl in his performance.

Overall, I loved this audio and story. Samantha Christy has written another sweet, steamy, and emotional rockstar romance. How can you not love Reckless Alibi at this point! Let's get reckless!

Liam and Ella

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Audiobook review. Book 2 in The Reckless Rockstar trilogy. For some reason there were several whistled "s" sounds from Jason Clarke in this one, which I've never heard from him before. Content warnings: h mom died on 9/11; H and his brother were both groomed and molested by their step-father; h older brother committed su¡c¡de; H step-father/adoptive father was murdered by a man hired by his own brother.

Liam Campbell (24) is the lead guitarist of Reckless Alibi. Ella Campbell (23) is a children's book illustrator. Ella is rescued and taken to the ER by Liam when she falls outside one of his concerts. Ella becomes Liam's muse. HFN. JP

A great addition to this series!

A great addition to this series. This friends to lovers storyline has all the feels while dealing with a sensitive subject matter. Great chemistry between Liam and Ella and their journey is worth the listen. I can’t wait to listen to the next one. Fantastic narration.
