In der alternativen Medizin ist Ayurveda durchaus anerkannt, gilt aber andererseits als wissenschaftlich nicht belegt, was nicht weiter verwundert. Hat diese alte Heilkunst doch völlig andere Ansätze als die uns bekannte Medizin. Sie agiert anpassungsfähig und individuell, betrachtet jeden Patienten als Individuum und nimmt sich Zeit für die gründliche Anamnese. Nach Ansicht der pharma-orientierten Medizin ist dafür weder Zeit noch Raum, möglicherweise auch kein Geld? Das ist allerdings wenig wahrscheinlich, eher fehlt es am guten Willen. Finanzielle Mittel, Technik und Spezialisten dürften in diesem unserem Lande ausreichend vorhanden sein. Individualität, Vielfalt und Flexibilität werden eher spirituellen Praktiken zugeordnet, denn evidenzbasierter Wissenschaft.
