This book has taught me what no psychiatrist or therapist has. How to stop the fear-adrenaline-fear cycle of anxiety and panic. Anxiety no longer controls me. But I can now control it. Everyday I'm realizing how much I've allowed my thoughts to control me. I'm building back the confidence I had lost in my self.Fantastic book for anyone suffering from nervous illness. I first read this book in my early teens and have recommended it to many people.

Easy Steps to Handling Anxiety!!!

The Anxiety Audiobook is an excellent resource, especially for friends and family of people suffering from anxiety, specific phobias or disorders. A lot of times people who aren't educated in all of the terminology, psychology and such actually make anxiety worse for people suffering from it because they try to insert logic when the entire point of disorder level anxiety is that it does not respond to reason. The Anxiety is a fantastic read and is perfect for those who have diagnosed anxiety disorders or feel like they might and are looking for answers.

Excellent and Helpfu!!!

This book is designed for people who have lost hope and meaningfulness in life, who question their own ability to be influential in their world, who find their emotions intolerable, and who find that they try to escape and avoid important aspects of their lives.I have read many self-help books and workbooks. Nothing has ever come close to being this engaging and helpful! I look forward to reading the text and doing the exercises. Can you imagine? Looking forward to work? Well, I do because the book makes sense, and the reader can understand why he or she is being asked to do these exercises.

Thank you for this book!!!

If you are suffering panic attacks now, read the last chapter first., then read the whole book. I was normal until one day I was driving to work and had a major panic attack. I went the whole week wondering if I had lost my mind, if something was medically wrong with me or if I w as going to die. I stayed home as much as possible , hid in my garage and paced myself to exhaustion. This book really works. I was often guided by many people for my anxiety but that didn't work for me. The author has precisely explained his point of view and the way in which he has represented the text is truly remarkable.

Good to know if you suffer anxiety.

I found this book particularly helpful. I am a special education teacher. I deal with students that have anxiety and behavioral issues. I found this book had many helpful steps I could take in which to help my students understand why they are having their thoughts and behaviors and alo different approaches on how to deal with them I've done some cognitive behavior therapy in the past with a therapist and I found that to be very helpful. I hadn't done any of the methods in a while and wanted to do something a little more self-guided.

This is a great book that was recommended to me. Clearly the author is a passionate voice for those who suffer from anxiety. She provides wonderful stories, inspirational quotes, and practical ways to change your life. As someone who has personally experienced the strong and painful grips of anxiety and panic, and helps others to better understand and overcome their anxiety in therapy, this book will be an invaluable tool. The author does an excellent job of defining anxiety and panic attacks as well as helping the reader to understand what is a "normal" response to stress and fear, A book on great advice or how to reduce anxiety. As a person who suffers from anxiety, I find this book to be really helpful to me.It is also a workbook so it gives you activities that you can do to relieve anxiety.

A book that really helps

I'm not a fan of self help books but this came highly recommended. It truly does aid one in identifying causes and triggers of phobias and anxiety. AND it gives you effective ways to overcome them. Got this book for a friend that suffers from anxiety and phobias. We live in a rural area and it's hard to get doctor appointments. It truly did help me understand anxiety and methods for suppressing it. Extremely practical guide to unearthing, feeling, understanding, and expressing your feelings. I was given the chapter on assertiveness by a therapist and found there is so much more to it. Everyone who feels overwhelmed and resistant to intermingling with people should read this.

A Great Tool For Anyone!!

The Anxiety was a great read for many reasons. It read more like a brochure than an actual book. Looking for information about this, I found this set of books. In this book you get some idea about how to train our brain to eliminate anxiety. If you are curious to learn more about anxiety, panic attacks, etc. or hoping to retrain your anxious thoughts, I highly recommend this book. It helps you rationalize and think-through your anxious thoughts and find ways to tolerate the anxiety. This book works, plain and straightforward. I have no longer an issue with nervousness and this book got me there. I observed this book to be extremely usefu
