Useful tips/reminders for self-transformation
This book is well-organized. I’ll listen to it again in a couple of months; changing mental habits takes persistence.
The narration was great EXCEPT when reading titles/headings/subheadings which was without exception delivered in a way that took me out of the book and into the narrator’s recording room. That is my only complaint about the narration.
The author at one point begins talk about “the four As” without reviewing them. That works okay in print but not in an audio book. In any event the terms are reviewed at the end of the chapter they are introduced, and again as appropriate. Just that one small bump in the road.
Take notes, that helps too. There are many good practical suggestions (I knew most of these, but having them in one book is great!).

You'd pay big bucks to get this exact same information from a therapist. Although the delivery would probably be smoother. Narration was dry and monotone.
The book is not a silver bullet but it offers some great items for your tool box.

A great summary of techniques
I didn’t learn anything new myself and had heard most of the techniques before. But I could see how it would be useful for someone who didn’t as they would all be in one reference guide. Not sure I agree with avoiding all stressful things if you can- otherwise you will just live within self imposed limits.
