Discover the War of Humanity from Keelie's perspective....

When life's a game, love is a bad move.

All her life, adrenaline junkie Keelie Lin-Sykes has known what she wants: to protect her brother and sisters by killing as many of the soulless Enhanced Ones as she can. Oh, and to have fun while she's doing it. After all, hiding in a secret Untamed community, while the group's Seer warns them of danger, shouldn't mean that life can only be serious, right?

But when a face from her past suddenly - and secretly - shows up, Keelie's catapulted back into the very world she's been trying to escape from for the last 10 years: a world of guilt, lies, and...love. And the deeper Keelie gets, the bigger the risks become.

Now Keelie must play the most dangerous game of her life if she's to continue protecting her family. But this game - and her love - may just destroy her.

Discover the whole untamed world.

The Untamed series consists of two sub-series: the core untamed books (Untamed one to four) follow Seven and Corin as the Untamed strive to end the War of Humanity and eradicate the world of the Enhanced Ones. The Dangerous Ones books (Untamed five to seven) take place at the same time as books one to four and tell the stories of other Untamed - some of which we have already met - revealing a different side to the War of Humanity.

Wild

That was wild from start to finish and most of the way through the story as well.

This may technically be the 5th book in the Untamed series, but it's a fresh story about a girl named Keelie and her family. It starts with the worst day of Keelie's life, the day her family was ripped apart and Keelie had to step up and be the family's main protector.

Then it jumps forward ten years to the current day. Keelie still harbors a lot of guilt for the things she did and didn't do that night ten years ago. I just wanted to reach into the story and hug Keelie and remind her that SHE WAS A LITERAL CHILD and nothing is her fault.

Growing up as the caretaker of her family warps Keelie and she becomes an angry adrenaline-junkie whose only goals are to protect her family and get her revenge. But, as the story progresses, we see that these goals are not harmonious and she may just have to give up one to achieve the other.

Good for people who like YA dystopia with a hefty helping of romance.
